While there are those who are not feeling merry this year, Dancehall Producer Notnice aims to restore the feeling, even if it’s just a little bit. While many are more focused on making it to 2026, Notnice calls up a few friends to deliver, “Merry Christmas From Yaad“.

Featuring 4 tracks, Notnice wants to ring in the holidays the yaad way with the “Merry Christmas From Yaad” EP. The effects of Hurricane Melissa are still persistent in the Caribbean, and many are still in recovery mode, but this new project aims to bring some form of relief, and a needed distraction. Notnice brought onboard Jah Vinci, Nordia Mothersille, and D’Yani for the EP, and his latest signee, the A.I. Artist S’riah makes her debut for the holidays. It’s a good day when there’s new music, and Dancehall Artist Rajahwild had to close out the year with something new. The Deejay recently celebrated his birthday, and while he gets gifts, he gives the fans a present as well in the form of his new EP, “Rocket Sciance“.

Featuring 5 tracks, Rajahwild further solidifies his Rockstar status with the “Rocket Sciance” EP. He shares some of what’s going on in the fast life he lives, while giving the ladies something to keep their speakers busy with. The Deejay has been tapping into various markets this year, and we can only see him expanding his brand to even more places next year. Production on “Rocket Sciance” includes the likes of Gloom Music, Unapologetic Musiq, Zimi Ent., Yo Jani, Di Truth, Now Or Never, DJ Mac, and Platinum Kids, while New York Rapper Bay Swag is the sole guest appearance. The “Sinful” Artist continues to rise in the ranks, and with a new year to embrace, expect even more from him.

December is the last month of the year, but to many people, that means Christmas is here. Starting November (sometimes October), we’d see decorations being laid out, and some are heading to the stores to lock down Christmas presents. In Jamaica, there was a time where a number of Artists would come out with Christmas-themed music, with Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel being one of the go-to Artists. Seeing an absence due to him being incarcerated for a number of years, he returns with holiday cheer for the ladies in the form of the new single, “XMas Buddy“.

Produced by Greedy Lion, Vybz Kartel has a present for the ladies called, “XMas Buddy”. Listeners are taken back to the 2010s when the “World Boss” would have a song for every occasion, with Christmas being heavily anticipated. The Deejay remixes “Little Drummer Boy” to spew a few raunchy lyrics, ensuring the ladies get filled with joy, and holiday cheer lights up their faces. For this holiday season, ensure you celebrate in the best way, and keep a bottle of Str8 Vybz Rum nearby.

Ziciano’s “Come Over” Enjoys Viral Love

While we were experiencing a Hurricane in Jamaica and parts of the Caribbean a couple weeks ago, an upcoming Dancehall Artist was making his way up to becoming a viral sensation. Based in Paris, France, Dancehall Artist Ziciano stepped out with a new single called, “Come Over (Possibly)“, and was not expecting the wave that would follow soon after.

Produced by Tcoplinks, Ziciano gave the ladies a few reasons to be in his space for some good times in, “Come Over (Possibly)”. The bilingual track (French and Patois) along with Ziciano’s melodic delivery and solid production quietly made its way onto the scene, but started to catch on thanks to the catchy (and aggressive) “Back it up, back it up…GYAL” line on the chorus. Editor’s note: Ziciano sounds a little like Jamaican Dancehall Artist Kalado. Maybe there’s some influence there, or just coincidence. With people now paying attention, the single started to gain attention on Social Media platforms like TikTok, with users from many countries not only sharing their interest in the song, but find themselves dancing or lip-syncing it. Since its release, it has gained close to 200,000 plays on Youtube, over 400,000 streams on Spotify, and Millions of plays on Social Media. Fans of the Ziciano and “Come Over” are looking forward to a Music Video for the single, and its follow up. May he keep this up, and secure a solid spot in the music scene.

Today is a celebration. Today marks the birthday of one of Dancehall’s giants, Mavado. Why not give him an “Oldies Sunday” feature? Today, we go back in time to check out, “Weh Dem A Do“.

Produced by Delly Ranx and released through Di Ranx Productions on the “Redbull & Guinness Riddim” in 2006, Mavado came out swinging with “Weh Dem A Do”. Armed with a gritty and melodic delivery, Mavado stepped onto the scene showcasing the dark environment he’s from, and made for a song that not only had the gangsters’ attention, but the ladies as well. The Riddim’s upbeat sound made a good fit for the “Gully Gad“, and with a catchy hook (“Weh dem a do, weh dem a try…”) intact, it quickly became one of the Deejay’s first hits. “Weh Dem A Do” was featured on his critically acclaimed debut album, “Gangsta For Life, The Symphony Of David Brooks“, which went on to become a hit on the International market.

Since the release of “Weh Dem A Do”, Mavado not only became a household name in the Caribbean, but became a known figure Internationally, and secured his place as one of Dancehall’s legend. He ushered in his “Gullyside” movement, scored multiple hits, participated in one of the biggest beefs in Dancehall history (Gully vs Gaza with Vybz Kartel), and recently returned to Jamaica for the first time in several years due to legal issues. Mavado still holds the position as one of Dancehall’s top acts, and “Weh Dem A Do” still gets the crowd going.
