It’s a new day for Dancehall Artist Govana, and his moves will take him to levels beyond the ceiling. As one of the formidable lyricists, when he’s not constructing deadly verses, he’s getting the ladies in the mood with some selection from his stash. This time, he’s building on an already solid foundation with his sophomore album, “Legacy“.

Featuring 12 tracks, Govana is making some of his best music on “Legacy”. Following up the 2020 debut album, “Humans And Monsters Are Not The Same“, Govi Govi is not playing around. Whether you get the gyallis, hints of “Deablo“, or the StrikeForce Boss, “Legacy” has you covered for the Govana experience. Production on the album include the likes of Raheef Muzik Group, Crash Dummy Productions, Chimney Records, Emudio Records, Daseca, Hemton Music, and Attomatic Records, while Popcaan, Jada Kingdom, Skeng, Mavado, and Aidonia join in on some special selections. It’s been a while since these two made a song together, and it’s long overdue. Dancehall Artists Govana and Jada Kingdom have been thriving in their respective careers, but when they team up, it’s a moment that many enjoy. They step out with their new single, “Pull Over“.

Produced by Chimney Records and Raheef Muzik Group, Govana and Jada Kingdom get raunchy in “Pull Over”. Armed with sexually charged lyrics, “Govi Govi” and “Big Batty Jada” don’t waste any time here, and they trade energies and vibes that will have listeners keeping the song on repeat. The chemistry continues in their Music Video directed by Rizzy for Now Or Never, and we know this single will be a favourite in the weeks to come. Govana recently cleared the air when rumours surfaced of him having a rift with Aidonia, but those stemmed from Gossip platforms trying to create a narrative. Jada Kingdom on the other hand has been busy with new singles, and talks of an album is currently in motion. Here’s to more Govi/Jada collabs.

Recently, Dancehall Producer Notnice had the Dancehall scene feeling nostalgic with the revamped version of his classic “Street Vybz Riddim“. Named “Street Vybz 2.0“, Deejays Chronic Law and Aidonia quickly secured hits with “Weekend” and “Bottles” respectively, and it was rumoured that many more Artists would make their contributions on the Riddim. Another one who stepped up to bat was Govana as he shared a preview. Today, it gets official with the release of “Gvn Toe“.

With a video directed by Rizzy for Now Or Never, Govana brings out his badman side on “Gvn Toe”. Going back to his former stage name “Deablo“, no one is safe when the Deejay steps out with his artillery. While others provided party songs on “Street Vybz 2.0”, Govana wanted shots to ring out with his release. The dark visual adds to the sinister lyrics, and will be a popular one for listeners. This one is for the “StrikeForce” crew, the “4th Genna” set, Deablo makes a temporary return to the scene, and he’s ready for whatever.

We were due a new project from Dancehall Artist Aidonia. The past few years saw a couple announcements, but a lot has been going on for the Deejay. He has been dealing with loss, and creating and performing through grieving times, but he has been seeing a ray of light in his dark times, and he reached for it. With plenty positives happening for him, he has decided to go on a hiatus to focus on what’s important to him other than the music. Before he steps down however, he gives us the new project, “Occupied Mind“.

The 23-track “Occupied Mind” was announced some time ago, and is a compilation of some of Aidonia’s previous releases along with some new tunes. Aidonia has always delivered solid music, and his diversity continues throughout the project. Production includes the likes of his Banga House MG imprint, Emudio, Haunted House, Darshan, Mill Beatz, and others. While Aidonia is no stranger to collaborations, Govana is his sole collaborator on this project (Hopefully we can get their “Brother’s Keeper” collab project in the future). Aidonia has given us 20 years of dedicated service, he deserves his time away. Let’s all enjoy this “Occupied Mind”.

For quite some time, fans have been anticipating a collaborative project from Dancehall Artists Aidonia and Govana. Despite releasing a few singles, no album has shown up in the past couple years. While life has had some turns for the Artists, it looks like things are looking to pick up for them. Getting back to business, they release the visual for “Earthquake“!

Directed by Shane Creative and Ruption, Aidonia and Govana are here for the ladies on the Chimney Records-produced “Earthquake”. While they previously displayed how potent their lyricism can be, they use this time to get the ladies moving. For all the ladies who missed shaking it to a Didi and Govi song, “Earthquake” is for you to have fun to. We hope Aidonia and Govana’s project sees the light of day this year, but if not, we expect to hear a lot more from them. Ladies, it’s your time to show off!
