Wai Fuzion Teams Up With Chronic Law For “No One Cares”

The saying goes, “Who feels it, knows it“, and there are many people going through their own challenges in this world. Many suffer in silence, others try to seek a way out, not many make it to the finish line, and new battles are fought daily. Recording Artist/Producer Wai Fuzion has his share of challenges, and he’s looking for answers while trying to stay above ground. He speaks on this in the new single, “No One Cares“.

Produced by Ireland Records, Wai Fuzion shares his pain along with featured Artist Chronic Law in “No One Cares”. Fuzion finds himself in dark places, contemplating many things, but a part of him believes that life can get better. Chronic Law on the other hand becomes more aware of those around him, uses his pain as examples on how to move forward, and using prayer time as a confessional, and a request for protection from those who mean him harm. The track is expected to connect with those who are facing similar issues, relating to battles and struggles they face. Accompanying the single is a music video directed by JV Cinematic. We are all facing battles, hope we conquer them in time.

Jahmiel Keeps “Real People” Close In New Video

In a world filled with challenges, corruption, and confusion, sometimes it’s hard to find genuine people who will be there for you. Dealing with fickle and disloyal people can take a toll on you, and many have lost hope. Dancehall/Reggae Artist Jahmiel is keeping his hope alive, and like his new single, he believes “Real People” are still out there.

Over production by Sweet Music, Jahmiel shares that people have let him down many times, but he still believes that there are genuine people out there on “Real People”. He makes note of those who are there for him when he’s at his lowest, and keeps distance from fair weather friends. Some of his rifts have been made public over the years, so he knows how challenging it is to keep real people close. The single is accompanied by a music video directed by 9MileVisualz, and it finds him among some of his real people, those who have seen him at his best, and at his worst. The world is crazy, hope there are some good people in your corner.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Lord Composer – Hill And Gully Ride (1954)

It’s another Oldies Sunday, no matter where you are in the world. When you talk about hits, Jamaica has a ton of them spanning decades. This time around, we go back to the 1950’s to check out Lord Composer’sHill And Gully Ride/Mandeville Road“.

Released through Motta’s Recording Studio (Fun Fact: This was Jamaica’s 1st privately owned Recording Studio, and was owned by Stanley Motta) in 1954, “Hill And Gully Ride/Mandeville Road” was a medley Mento single recorded by Lord Composer and his Silver Seas Hotel Orchestra. “Hill And Gully Ride” was a dancing tune that had a few instructions while “Mandeville Road” was about people going to Manchester to break stones, a profession that many did in those days before the advancements in Technology. Both songs were done over percussion, strings, and a Fife solo, with Composer being lead Vocalist with backing vocals. “Hill And Gully Ride/Mandeville Road” were Folks Songs, belonging in a department called “Digging Songs“. They were included with another medley single on a Record, and sounded nothing like what was out in those times. The medley was covered by a number of Folk Singers, and two versions of it would later become the theme music for the popular “Hill An’ Gully Ride” TV series in Jamaica. The lyrics and cadence of “Hill And Gully Ride” were sampled by a number of Artists including YellowMan and Busy Signal, while “Mandeville Road” was sampled by Dancehall group T.O.K.

Lord Composer never released many songs when he was active, and only had an LP’s worth of singles since the release of “Hill And Gully Ride/Mandeville Road”. Composer passed away in 1990, and his music is celebrated to this day in parts of the world.

Thank You Lord Composer For Your ClassicS!
