Around these parts, the name “Cochise” may not ring a bell, but for those who frequent platforms like Twitch, he is one of the most popular streamers who happens to have a thriving music career. The Florida-based Rapper/Producer/Streamer has built a heavy catalogue since the mid 2010s, and has incorporated elements of his Jamaican background into his music. With his releases building anticipation every time, he gives the people what they want today with the release of, “Braces“.

Released through Warriors Com LLC, Cochise is just building some vibes here with his new single, “Braces”. He continues to incorporate some Jamaican vibes here with some lyrics done in Patois, and the Bass-heavy production compliments the song well. Known to bring a different kind of energy in his music, he further emphasizes his unique style with a music video directed by Moldyroom. Montego Bay-based Recording Artist MoulaUE has been on a journey of returning to the Hip Hop scene. You can’t deny it, Masicka’s “Whites” was one of the biggest Dancehall songs of 2024. The Dan Sky Records/Attomatic Records-produced track on the “Rooster Riddim” was everywhere, and continues to penetrate the streets. The track was loved by many, including UK Rapper Wretch 32. He loved it so much, that recorded a Freestyle over it.

For a little over a minute, Wretch 32 exits the G-Wagon to share a few bars over the Instrumental of Masicka’s “Whites” single. Tapping in with his Jamaican roots throughout, Wretch lets the people know he’s still a problem with the bars, and his flow is solid. The veteran Hip Hop/Grime Artist has been in the game for almost 20 years, and still has a presence that is respected. Given all the love that “Whites” has gotten, don’t be surprised if more Artists took a crack at the Riddim. Keep the flame burning Wretch 32.

The Hip Hop culture continues to have some life in Jamaica, with many contributors and new styles. One contributor returns to the fold, and that is Montego Bay-based Rapper MoulaUE. Having taken time off for family and life outside of the Studio, he looks to make a mark in the 2020s, and show that he still has what it takes. He concluded his hiatus with the track, “Floormats“.

Produced by Limitless Joe, MoulaUE proves that despite taking a leave of absence, his skillset hasn’t left in “Floormats”. The “Mobay Mayor” gives a nod to some of his peers, and gives listeners a dose of what has been missing for a while. During his absence there was a rise in the Trap Dancehall movement, and we believe he can still secure a place in the scene as Montego Bay is home to many of the stars of the movement. The bars are still solid, and he can command any production that’s sent his way. We hope he maintains the consistency this time around. MoulaUE returns to Rap.

Bakersteez Releases “MOB TIES” Under New Name, “St.Lazarus”

Rapper Bakersteez is going through some changes. Earlier this year, he had an online spat which resulted in a number of bizarre Social Media posts, and the public being concerned about his Mental Health. With the Summer nearing its end, Steez returns to the scene with new music, and a new name. Get familiar with St.Lazarus, and his new track, “MOB TIES“.

Whether you want to call him Bakersteez or St.Lazarus, “MOB TIES” finds the Rapper becoming more aware of the people around him. In a time when people can be deceptive and are quick to betray loved ones for material gain, Steez requires some action to go along with the words and promises people say to him. He speaks on people wanting to take his life, negative conversations being shared about him and his character, and he’s being more cautious. He’d rather do bad all by himself than to surround himself with fake people, and you can’t be mad at that. Here’s to St.Lazarus becoming more consistent with the music for the rest of the year, and let’s see what the future holds for him. Be careful out there.
