Montego Bay-based Recording Artist MoulaUE has been on a journey of returning to the Hip Hop scene. Having taken some time off to focus on family and life outside of the Studio, he has been showing his face on a couple tracks within the past couple years. This time around, he aims to be more active, so those who have counted him out, will have to make way for the Rapper to handle business. In his pursuit of success, he makes “Chess Moves“.

Produced by Stoner Loner Beats, MoulaUE makes his return a moment with the release of, “Chess Moves”. He’s keeping his focus on the finer things, and is getting to the money by any means necessary. He is still sharp with the lyrics and his presence is still one to honour, and he’s not playing games. The new single plays out like meeting the final boss, and he’s gearing up to make some boss moves in the coming weeks. You can’t deny it, Masicka’s “Whites” was one of the biggest Dancehall songs of 2024. The Dan Sky Records/Attomatic Records-produced track on the “Rooster Riddim” was everywhere, and continues to penetrate the streets. The track was loved by many, including UK Rapper Wretch 32. He loved it so much, that recorded a Freestyle over it.

For a little over a minute, Wretch 32 exits the G-Wagon to share a few bars over the Instrumental of Masicka’s “Whites” single. Tapping in with his Jamaican roots throughout, Wretch lets the people know he’s still a problem with the bars, and his flow is solid. The veteran Hip Hop/Grime Artist has been in the game for almost 20 years, and still has a presence that is respected. Given all the love that “Whites” has gotten, don’t be surprised if more Artists took a crack at the Riddim. Keep the flame burning Wretch 32.

The Hip Hop culture continues to have some life in Jamaica, with many contributors and new styles. One contributor returns to the fold, and that is Montego Bay-based Rapper MoulaUE. Having taken time off for family and life outside of the Studio, he looks to make a mark in the 2020s, and show that he still has what it takes. He concluded his hiatus with the track, “Floormats“.

Produced by Limitless Joe, MoulaUE proves that despite taking a leave of absence, his skillset hasn’t left in “Floormats”. The “Mobay Mayor” gives a nod to some of his peers, and gives listeners a dose of what has been missing for a while. During his absence there was a rise in the Trap Dancehall movement, and we believe he can still secure a place in the scene as Montego Bay is home to many of the stars of the movement. The bars are still solid, and he can command any production that’s sent his way. We hope he maintains the consistency this time around. MoulaUE returns to Rap.

There’s a party going on somewhere, and best believe some Dancehall Music is playing. UK Rapper Chip looks to add to the vibes bring the Dancehall vibes to his people. Just in time for the Notting Hill Carnival, he shares the video for the single, “Gyalis Pree“.

Directed by Chip and BDot, Chip has his focus on the Women, the liquor, and some good times all around in the video for, “Gyalis Pree”. One of the latest acts to tackle DJ Frass’ “Party Bus Riddim“, Chip is here for a nice time, and you’re encouraged to get the Casamigos and the Dragon Stouts, get the ladies in the mood, and have everyone to party with you. Bakersteez Releases “MOB TIES” Under New Name, “St.Lazarus”

Rapper Bakersteez is going through some changes. Earlier this year, he had an online spat which resulted in a number of bizarre Social Media posts, and the public being concerned about his Mental Health. With the Summer nearing its end, Steez returns to the scene with new music, and a new name. Get familiar with St.Lazarus, and his new track, “MOB TIES“.

Whether you want to call him Bakersteez or St.Lazarus, “MOB TIES” finds the Rapper becoming more aware of the people around him. In a time when people can be deceptive and are quick to betray loved ones for material gain, Steez requires some action to go along with the words and promises people say to him. He speaks on people wanting to take his life, negative conversations being shared about him and his character, and he’s being more cautious. He’d rather do bad all by himself than to surround himself with fake people, and you can’t be mad at that. Here’s to St.Lazarus becoming more consistent with the music for the rest of the year, and let’s see what the future holds for him. Be careful out there.

EDGE Shares Visual For, “1994”

Last week, we shared that Rapper/Athlete/Stuntman EDGE is making a return to music after a brief hiatus. While he has been venturing into other things during his break, he’s ready to make some noise, and enter new doorways in the process. Earlier, he shared the video for his new single, “1994“.

Directed by Gareth Cobran, EDGE takes us to Edgecombe, St. Ann where it all began in the video for “1994”. The video sees him connecting with his love interest, and with the herbs as he shares what makes him someone you need to tune in to over production by Justin “OooThatsJustin” Caine. If you haven’t been familiar with EDGE, you will have all of 2024 to do.
