.@MoulaUE Shares Some “Lost Files” On New EP

Montego Bay based Rapper MoulaUE returns to music after a short hiatus. Having shown that he is one of the Jamaican Lyricists you need to know, he had to fall back for a while to deal with life outside the booth. Before he returns in a bigger way however, he goes back into the archives to share a few gems that never saw the light of day. Today, you’ll get a chance to hear them in the new “The Lost Files” EP.

Consisting of 3 tracks, MoulaUE gives listeners a freestyle, and a couple collaborations that were made for previous projects, but were left behind for one reason or another. Recording Artists Warm Soul, Minx, and JadaFilly appear as the collaborators on “The Lost Files” EP, and the production is strong on this release. Montego Bay Recording Artist MoulaUE a.k.a. Moula Di Don makes a return to music after a brief hiatus. Known for hard hitting lyrics and a commanding presence, he had made his name as one of the best from the west. Today, he unleashes a “Riot“!

Featuring fellow Montegoians Rajah Khona’i and Chavez IllmatiQ, the “sleeping giant” that is MoulaUE starts off like a car bomb, while his collaborators follow up like tear gas on the unexpected. With their flows and lyrics combined, it’s definitely gonna make a scene. With a bar like “…Only house nigga in the field kicking crazy lyrics…“, you’re in for some music that you’re gonna rewind often to catch the bar. A celebration of bars, Jamaican Hip Hop, and black music, this might be the year we hear even more from MoulaUE.

2017 Faves: @Protoje – BLOOD MONEY (#1)

As 2017 comes to a close, we look back at a few songs that were favourites on the Blog for the year. While we can’t name EVERY one, we’ll give you 5 (in no particular order so hold off on the ego) to reminisce on, or get familiar with.

Ending our list today is the one they call “Diggy British“, Protoje with “BLXXD MONEY (a.k.a. BLXXD MONEY)”! Produced by Winta James and released in February, Protoje sees red as he calls out Corruption, Classism, Injustice, and those who practice it in Jamaica. From Government leaders to those names in high places, Protoje starts a revolution, and wants you to be a part of it. Protoje never watched no face when rinsing this tune this year as he has painted the scene red at Festivals, Radio stops, and even at the recently held Prime Minister’s Youth Awards Ceremony.
