.@RxpFlo Makes A Statement With His Debut EP, “Trap Island”!

The Trap Hip Hop movement has been a huge influence since its debut over a decade ago. In recent years, it has touched the Jamaican music scene, and lent some of its influence to the Dancehall and growing Jamaican Hip Hop movements. With artists like Aidonia, BakerSteez, Tommy Lee Sparta, and Rygin King showcasing different styles, newer artists like Rxp Flo stepped up to bring more strength to the new Jamaican Trap movement. Recently, he took his career to the next level with the release of his debut EP, “Trap Island“!

Consisting of 4 tracks, Rxp Flo has been on the scene building a buzz and collecting a steady following in the process. The release of his EP shows that he’s about business, and will not stop till he’s one of the top artists doing it. It has been a easy road, but he is determined to make it. The EP features production from Metro 17 and Riot Records. “Making this EP helped me realized that not everything will go your way, it doesn’t mean you should give up though. Always move forward regardless,” shared Rxp Flo. “I had lots of down time while working on this EP, but I was at my happiest when I was at the studio writing and recording. I made new friends along the way, but I’ve also seen people I considered friends show me their true colours. These experiences helped me put together a great project, and I wouldn’t change a thing because I was given lessons on patience, dedication, and learning to make my own moves.

The Jamaican Hip Hop movement is still growing, and we look forward to your support with these artists on the rise. Check out Rxp Flo’s “Trap Island” below, and share with a friend. Show us some love/follow us on Twitter and Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.

Produced by Thugz Bunny Music and features New Jersey Battle Rapper Arsonal, the track further shows Tommy Lee’s Rapper side (remember this collab?), and he handles his own along with Arsonal as they get into some Gangsta ish over a trap beat.

From New Jersey to Montego Bay, the Sparta Boss continues to make moves. How are you feeling the track? We might hear Tommy Lee getting into more Trap music later this year, so stay tuned! It’s been a while since we’ve featured Jamaican Rapper Gotti OG. With him feeling like a “Wockstar” the last time, he now gears up to release a project filled with some of his best work. Kicking things off till then, he releases the “Nomad Freestyle“. With production by Circa11, Gotti gives listeners that “drip talk” until that mixtape drops. With the visual shot by ShotByDeth, we find Gotti in the Studio putting together the bars in the booth and letting some good weed smoke fill the room. With “Marinas & Moet” floating around as the suggested title of the mixtape, listeners can look forward to more Gotti OG in the coming months. Many have thrown dirt his way over the years, but Recording Artist/Fur Expert Safaree stands tall regardless. Recently, he stopped by the Hot 97 Studio to rap a few bars for Funkmaster Flex. As a part of the DJ’s Freestyle series, Safaree fires off in episode 78. From changing furs during, to sending a jab at fellow Jamaican, popular Youtube personality DJ Akademiks, we’re surprised he didn’t throw his signature “Suck ya mada” during. Not a bad episode here, Safaree makes sure he adds his “Stuntman” charisma throughout. Shout out Messiah the “Fur God“. Catch Safaree in a city near you, or a TV near you. Check out the video below.
