On International Women’s Day, we highlight the Women who took risks, and made bold steps to make a difference in the world. Many Women have become game changers in music, including Dancehall Artist Tifa. Her career spans well over a decade, and she has quite the discography, and place in Dancehall has been secured. Earlier, she released the new single, “Say Yes“.

Produced by Kemar McGregor, Tifa makes a dedication to all the Women in “Say Yes”. For the Women who are successful, who are standouts, and who are disruptors, this one is for you. Tifa knows what many go through in everyday life, so she took the opportunity to big them up when they’re winning in life. “Say Yes” also pays tribute to a couple Dancehall stalwarts as she borrows lines and cadences from the classic “Hol’ A Fresh” from the late Red Dragon, and the production samples the “Bounce Riddim“, which was produced by Dave Kelly for the Xtra Large label and released in 2000. Big up all the ladies, and much love to T-I-F-A. Keep this one in heavy rotation.

Badmind and hypocrisy are things we at times can’t escape. They are present in families, they are present in friends, they are present in some people who we thought were of strong character. Life does get challenging when this happens, but Dancehall Artist Tifa has a way of handling these type of people. She gets into attack mode in the video for the new single, “Doh Real“.

Directed by Christopher Facey, Tifa confronts one of her badminded friends in “Doh Real”. The Celtic 222-produced track finds the Deejay calling out those who hate on her, pretend to be her friend but are really backstabbers, and those who carry her personal business to the public. She doesn’t do it alone, and she brings reinforcements in with their own weapons ready to handle things. There’s nothing worse than someone who has wronged you after being there for them in most ways possible. When they can’t be dealt with one way, Karma comes around to fix things. We have been spelling her name for many years, and Dancehall Artist Tifa is still going strong. While she has been through a few things over the years and considered retirement at one point, she continues to show that her dedication to the music and her place as an important figure in Dancehall were not in vain. She aims for more, and can still hit you with some good music. She recently released her latest single, “Greetings“.

Produced by longtime colleague ZJ Chrome, Tifa makes a grand entrance on “Greetings”. She reminds listeners that she’s still one of the baddest Artists out, her presence is a gift, and she is as bold as ever on the microphone. Many have come before and after her, but there is only one T-I-F-A. Chrome’s bouncy production gives the lyrics some oomph here, and Tif fixes her crown and gives us the royal speech. There aren’t many like this hitmaker, and she has a lot more in store, so stay tuned. Say hi to a bad b****.
