From Morocco to Jamaica, Empire I seeks to spread the good music worldwide and recently made her debut appearance on Onstage. Here she spoke on her recent name change from Empire Isis to Empire I, her early interest in Jamaica and early beginnings in her career, being friends with Billy Mystic, working in various musical genres, having her music featured in various commercials and TV shows including HBO’s “Girls“, being involved in an accident last year, her new video “Confidence” and more. With Reggae and Dancehall Music being infused in various genres over the years, many artists and producers have seen it as a way to create new and fantastic sounds that will bring people together to enjoy it. With their own genre termed “RaggaTronic“, a mix of Dancehall, Reggae, Soca, EDM, Tropical Bass, and Moombahton comes the Brooklyn collective named We Chief with their new single. Titled “Gyals From Brooklyn” and features Da Professor, this is an electrifying track that encourages listeners to get their bodies moving to the beats, breaking speakers, disturbing quiet neighbourhoods, and having fun to this blend of genres. this sounds like a summer hit and great artwork by Flyland Designs as well.
