Vybz Kartel Sits With @TVJ_ER For Official Interview

After 13 years, Vybz Kartel is a free Man, and is free for the world to know again. It has been over a week since leaving the Prison gates, and he’s ready to speak. Yesterday, he shared the screen with Isat Buchanan on his “Context Matters” Livestream, but earlier today, he make an appearance on Television Jamaica’s “Entertainment Report”.

Hosted by Anthony Miller, Vybz Kartel returns to the popular TVJ programme for the first time in over a decade. He spoke about life in Prison, life after Prison, his love life, his health, his grand return to the stage, and a lot more things. Fans were eager for the “World Boss” to get his first official Interview, and aside from Isat Buchanan, Anthony Miller was the right one to converse with. Here’s to more Interviews.

Vybz Kartel once asked, “Whappen if we waan fi party?“, and British-Nigerian Singer/Rapper Darkoo gave us another reason to party. Earlier this year, she gained popularity for her Dess Dior-featured single, “Favourite Girl“. The track sampled the classic “Diwali Riddim” by Lenky Marsden, and the single has been getting heavy airplay around the world. Keeping the momentum going, she follows up with the “Favourite Girl (Remix)“.

Featuring Nigerian Singer/Rapper Rema, Darkoo continues with the vibes on “Favourite Girl (Remix)”. With a music video shot by JM Films, they take it to the club where it’s a sea of party goers, and lots of thrilling times. Darkoo finds herself with the ladies, while Rema pops bottles, and they keep the energy up. With a likkle Dancehall vibes, you can’t go wrong, and “Favourite Girl” will enjoy a longer shelf life. Haters, how many us have them? Dealing with fake people daily can be rough on a person, and at times it seems like there is no end to it. Zagga has had his share of these type of people to deal with over the years, and he continues to distance himself from them in, “8 Dem“.

Produced by Amini Music, Zagga shares that he doesn’t keep fake in his circle on, “8 Dem” (say “Hate Dem”). He doesn’t need hypocrites in his corner, and he will do what is needed to avoid them in order to make his life better. Accompanying the track, is Music Video directed by Rayebann, and Zagga really emphasizes his disdain for those type of people who don’t mean him well. The Deejay is currently working on a follow up to his “Energy Never Lie” album from 2023, and is planning to release more music that share positive messages, and call for order in this crazy world. Shawn Storm Makes Return With “No Blood”

While many are celebrating the return of Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel, another individual is taking in his freedom from incarceration. That person is Shawn Storm. With all that behind him, he’s making moves that will ensure he never goes through that episode again. As he moves forward, new music is here, and it’s called, “No Blood“.

Produced by Kwashawna Records/Smoke Shop Studio, Shawn Storm makes “No Blood” his first official release as a free Man. The track finds him going through a number of things causing pain in his life, and while it can drive anyone else to do drastic things about them, he seeks guidance from above, and puts pen to paper. The track is just one of many tracks where we expect Shawn Storm to bare it all, as he has been through a lot over the past 10 years. We look forward to his progress as he enjoys his welcome party.

Today, August 6, is recognized in Jamaica as “Independence Day“. The Island celebrates its 62nd year of Independence, and every year it is celebrated with a “Grand Gala” event. Held at the Independence Village at the National Stadium Complex, we’re in for a lineup of amazing celebrations, awesome performances, and a unity that is infectious. Since the month has started we’ve seen Vybz Kartel embrace freedom for the first time in 13 years, and Jamaica collecting medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics, and we look forward to even more this month, and the rest of the year. Despite all that’s going on good and bad, Happy Independence Day, Jamaica, land we love.

Recording Artists Julian Marley, Bounty Killa, and Bugle lead the charge for change in the video for their single, “Time Is Of Essence“.

Directed by Icey Jace, Bounty Killa, Julian Marley, and Bugle step out to spread awareness that the World needs help, and we have to do our part to fix things. The Artists deliver their messages in the best ways possible, and make for a great collaboration that was produced by CD Master Sound/Inna Mi House Music on the “Block 9ine Riddim“. “Time Is Of Essence” was featured on the Deluxe version of Bugle’s critically-acclaimed “Toxicity” album. Bounty Killa has been busy with Music releases all year while Julian is working on a follow up to his GRAMMY-winning “Colors Of Royal” album that was done in collaboration with Alexx Anateus. Not to be left out, Bugle is also gearing up to release his recently-announced “Apex” album this month, and has been securing solid collaborations throughout the year. Times are getting serious.
