Reggae Music From Hawaii Featured In New “The Wrecking Crew” Film

Reggae Music is universal, and continues to be so after adding more GRAMMY awards and other accolades to its mantle. Over the weekend, the new Film, “The Wrecking Crew” premiered on Amazon Prime Video. The Film stars Jason Mamoa and Dave Bautista, who are half brothers investigating the death of their Father in Hawaii. The Film features Actors who are from the Island of Hawaii and of Hawaiian descent, and shares parts of Hawaiian culture. Reggae got a feature in the Film, and we speak on it below.

During a scene in the new Film, “The Wrecking Crew”, “Brains” by Hawaiian/Samoan Recording Artist/Educator/Farmer Ka’ikena Scanlan was featured. The Pacific/Hawaiian Reggae single was released in 2019, produced by Pano, features Hawaiian Band These Guys, and was released through Spoon Meat Entertainment. The track speaks on the corruption that happens in the world, the manipulation of the people by evil doers and warmongers, and is a call for people to wake up, preserve the culture, and fight against systems that don’t mean the world well. Reggae music has mostly been about revolutions and consciousness, and Ka’ikena’s track is no different. “The Wrecking Crew” is out now on Amazon Prime Video.

Produced by DreamRich Records/Fuse, Elephant Man is ready for the ladies to give him their best moves in, “Set Suh”. Ele continues to bring the energy, and we can expect this track to set things off when it hits the party. With a flashy music video directed by Simeon Di Great, the ladies throughout show us what they’re made of, with Ele enjoying it all. It has been close to a decade since Dancehall Artist Rygin King scored big with “Tuff“, but it has been well over a decade since he stepped on the scene. The years have seen his ups and downs, his triumphs, and his stumbles, but he continues to show his strength daily. This strength doesn’t just happen, and with every new day comes a challenge. Still determined, King motivates many with his music, and is still putting in the work. Earlier, he premiered, “Rain“.

Taking on the DJ Mac/Crash Dummy-produced “WYFL Riddim“, Qraig Voicemail is getting everyone to “Swaay”. Agent Sasco Motivates With “Nothing To Something”

Dancehall Artist Agent Sasco celebrates a couple decades in music, and he has accomplished a lot. From a young “Assassin” who won over many with his lyrical prowess, to “Agent Sasco” who has matured to an all-around Artist, he has ensured he has a place in Jamaican music, and built a structure that takes care of his family for years to come. Put it this way like his new video, he made it from “Nothing To Something“.

Directed by Prajahpahii Duksah, Agent Sasco takes us to the construction site in the video for the Skatta Burrell/Big Win Music-produced, “Nothing To Something”. We are witnessing a Man who expanded his brand and business to Construction, and gives a quick shout out to “Mulberry Valley Estate“, his Eco Sanctuary in St. Mary, while providing motivation for the listener. The video features Social Media Personality/Actress Mellietime, who takes on the role of overseeing the construction going on while reminiscing on days when her Parents worked to provide for her. There’s nothing like a child giving back to her family who sacrificed for her well-being, and we see this story unfold in the end. Sasco may not always be in the “Crown” conversations, but those who respect authentic lyricism hold him in high regard. Stay focused!
