From working as a Security Guard to rolling with Beenie Man, Deejay Kantana wants to etch his name in the Dancehall books and the next big act. Tonight on Onstage, Kantana spoke on his background, being all about deejaying, trying to get a “buss” for 5 years, working with Beenie Man, and his new single/video “Smoke And Drink“. In some Dancehall circles you rarely hear people mentioning the “Doctor” giving any new artist any “buss” but it’s a new year so let’s see what 2015 has in store for Kantana. Last week on Onstage, Gully Bop sent a shot at Deejay Ninjaman. This week, Ninjaman responds to this and more. Looking cross, angry and miserable, he spoke on not getting enough respect in Dancehall, sent back a shot at Gully Bop, getting ready for Sting 2014 and his history at the event, IShawna, his thoughts on beefs in Dancehall, thoughts on Beenie Man and Bounty Killa making peace, Vybz Kartel, his thoughts on Alkaline, Masicka and more. Lots to say tonight as Ninjaman has been a man of many words on stage and off stage. @OnstageTV Interviews @EscoDaShocker

Esco

Known for churning out hits of his own, Esco has done what many have tried to do for years, and that’s get Bounty Killa and Beenie Man on a song together. Tonight on Onstage, Esco spoke about that experience and making the collaboration possible, a documentary for the collaboration, his other productions, proclaiming there’s no beef with former collaborator Leftside, and future projects. Short interview but to the point, I got to give Esco and his StarStruck team their props for making this overdue effort possible. History has been made as two Deejays that have feuded and made up over the years have finally recorded their first song together. Those artists are Bounty Killa and Beenie Man with their single, “Legendary“. Produced by Esco for StarStruck Records, we hear the veteran artists dropping some legendary lyrics and showing that after all these years, they still have have what it takes when it comes to Dancehall music. An interesting single here and this is something that will have fans asking, “What took y’all so long?“. Titled “Link Up” and features Dancehall artist Beenie Man and crooner Ty Dolla $ign with production from DJ Mustard, they aim to bring a gangsta party wherever you are. Dancehall royalty graced the set of Onstage earlier in the form of Dancehall King Beenie Man and Dancehall Queen Lady Saw. Being interviewed together for the first time they spoke about being on LIME’s “Full Black” event, Lady Saw’s new album, Beenie’s recent tour and working on new music, Lady Saw mentoring Lisa Hyper and more.
