Jamaican-born/Florida-based Producer/Musician/Recording Artist Kris-Karz continues to push his music to new listeners, and build his production game. Throughout the year, he released new music, and has been working on a new project for release in the coming weeks. Recently, he enjoyed music placements with popular American Magazine, Architectural Digest, and this week he celebrates new placements with the renowned Ebony Magazine.

Ebony Magazine, since 1945, has provided a monthly lifestyle magazine that highlighted News, Culture, and Entertainment, with focus on some of the best African American names in Sports, Music, Film, Politics, and Fashion. They launched a series called “Beautiful Black Homes” that featured unique homes owned by some of your faves, and for their recent video, they highlighted the home of Actress Meagan Good. The 6 and a half minute video showed off some eye-catching Interior Design along with well-liked Architecture, and the tracks “Energy” and “Reciprocation” from Kris Karz. The Instrumental versions of “Energy” and “Reciprocation” were released in 2021 and 2022 respectively, and were included in a project called, “Portraits“, that wasn’t fully released.

Kris-Karz, born Kris-Anthony Smith in Manchester, Jamaica, is the founder of Kngly Studios, and its main Producer and Recording Artist. He is also the mind behind the Youtube Acoustic series, “Kngly Live”, which provided a platform for Recording Artists and Musicians from South Florida and surrounding areas to showcase their talent. He has produced for a number of local and overseas-based Artists, and has performed at a number of events in Miami, Atlanta, and northern parts of America. As a Recording Artist, he has released singles such as, “LUST”, “Heartbreak”, “Text Me”, “GUSH”, and more recently “Safe With Me”. He is currently finalizing a number of releases for 2025.

US Rapper Ski Mask The Slump God has been one of the names that gained notoriety in the Hip Hop scene since the mid 2010s. Hailing from Broward County, Florida and raised by Jamaican parents, he made noise in the underground scene, and was a part of the generation that includes the late XXX Tentacion, Lil Uzi Vert, and Trippie Redd. Today, he released his latest album, “11th Dimension“, and has brought along a friend from Jamaica on one of the album’s tracks.

On track 15 off of Ski Mask The Slump God’s “11th Dimension” called “From Yard“, Dancehall Artist Skillibeng makes a guest appearance. Produced by Max Lord and Car!ton, Ski Mask and Skilli trade bars and flows throughout the track, tapping into some Jamaican elements as well. Skillibeng continues to rack up International features, which will in turn grant him even more International bookings and features. He is still reeling off of the success of his “Jump” feature with Tyla and Gunna, and we can expect a lot more from him later this year. The pressures and challenges in life can be great on a person. From work, to school, to family, when the stress hits you, sometimes you want to wave the white flag. Fortunately for some, they can find time to relax away from the madness, and renew their energy and focus. A young lady decided to do that with the help of a few friends, and Comedian/Recording Artist/Director Andrew Trabass wanted to highlight that adventure in his new Film, “Weekenders“.

Directed by Andrew Trabass and Antony Sewell a.k.a. FamousSoSick and released through Trabass Production, “Weekenders” gives viewers a look on a few friends who decided to have a girls trip for the weekend. While those trips can be rewarding, the ladies would find themselves getting caught up in a number of mishaps, challenges, and events that will have the audience laughing throughout. The Film stars Recording Artist/Actress Sewell, Comedian/Internet Personality Kyng Tavii, Designer/Actress Aennika Black, Content Creator/Actress Molly Blue, Tattoo Artist/Actor Kirk Jrr, Content Creator Danny 1Law, Content Creator Noel a.k.a. VogueBoss, and Trabass.

“Weekenders” premiered earlier this year in Florida to a sold out crowd, and was given rave reviews. Viewers who want the Film for offline viewing can purchase their copy here. Andrew Trabass has been finding a lane making Films for a number of years, and his audience has been generous with the love. Rapper Daley returns with something new. After making a return from a brief hiatus at the beginning of 2024, he is determined to make his name pop up in more areas this time around. He keeps the people listening with “Still A Villain“.

Directed by Diego Jeanty for Neuyu, Daley gives us a one take performance of his new track, “Still A Villain”. Over production by longtime Producer LimitlessJoe, he’s in it to win, and is not taking anything less this time around. The hunger is still there, and if it means he has to turn up the energy a notch, he will to get to the top. With a possible project on the way, Daley is ensuring that the public gets a healthy dose of content till then. Expect more music in the coming weeks.

Earlier today, Atlanta Hip Hop Artist Offset released his sophomore album called, “Set It Off“. The former Migos member made it a mission to further prove that he can hold his own as a solo Artist, and connect with more people and markets. The 21 track album has something for everyone, but one track stood out with familiar sounds.

On track 3 of Offset’s “Set It Off” album called “Worth It“, the track starts off with the familiar sound of the 1994 classic “You Don’t Love Me (No No No)” by Reggae Artist Dawn Penn, and the rest had the sound of US-based Recording Artist BEAM and Producer ChaseTheMoney’s new single, “Understand“. “Worth It” was produced by Heavy Mellow and ChaseTheMoney, and featured Singer/Rapper Don Toliver. The classic “Wake the town and tell the people” opener was performed by the late U-Roy for his 1971 single “Wake The Town“, and was sampled for Dawn Penn’s hit, which went on to become a Gold-selling classic, and sampled by many over the years. “Understand” sampled the 1976 classic “Sweet Green Fields” by Seals & Crofts, which was also sampled for Rapper Busta Rhymes’ 1997 classic “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See“. For those unfamiliar, BEAM has been on the scene for a number of years, and is the son of former Dancehall Artist-now Gospel Artist/Minister Papa San. Offset’s “Set It Off” album is out now!
