Yannick Paul Reflects On “November”

The month of November, like every other month, is special to many. This month saw Tropical Storm Rafael do a lil number on the Caribbean, the US welcomed the 2nd Presidential term of Donald Trump, and Vybz Kartel reuniting with the likes of Portmore Empire members Popcaan, Sheba, Gaza Indu, and Lisa Hyper. Gospel Artist Yannick Paul holds the month close to him as it’s his birth month, but also a month when his life changed. He shares this in, “November“.

Produced by Drivv Studios, Yannick Paul reflects on his life-changing moment in “November”. 10 years ago, he recalls when he was living a different kind of life, a life that was far removed from the Christian life he currently lives. He shares that his outlook on life was one caused by pain as he was battling demons, contemplating taking his life, but he found the light, and his life took a turn for better. He pulls his audience into his testimony in a Music Video directed by Vernard James, and for those who know him, Yannick is not the same Man he was all those years ago, and he makes it his mission to encourage others to live a better life. Yannick Paul has been releasing music throughout the year, and looks to give the people a project come 2025. Listen to his story.

Tech giant Apple has always been one of the leading companies when it comes to new devices. From the iPhones, to Macbooks, to Airpods, the company has contributed to the way people consume content, and made tasks easier. Earlier today, they launched new devices as a part of their “Wonderlust” September event. While the public will have new tech to spend money on, Apple launched a new campaign for their Apple Watch line featuring a familiar sound. It was none other than Gospel Artist Jermaine Edwards, viral sensation Rushawn Ewears, and Production duo Trinix’sBeautiful Day (Remix)“.

Beautiful Day” was originally recorded and released by Jermaine Edwards in 2014, but was given new life when a 2017 video of a young Rushawn Ewears reciting the song made a series of appearances on Social Media in late 2022/early 2023, and numerous remixes were made which included a version done by Trinix. To date, Trinix’s version of “Beautiful Day” has surpassed 45 Million views on Youtube, and the popularity of the viral videos and remixes helped to secure a Sony Music UK deal for Edwards, and opportunities for Ewears. Apple’s new campaign highlights the many times the Apple Watch has helped people who have had health issues, sharing a few stories throughout, and them celebrating birthdays in their respective homes. The “Beautiful Day” remix was used for the soundtrack, and will definitely boost the profiles of everyone involved.

Minister Marion Hall Fires Back With “Sorry To Hurt Your Feelings”!

Minister Marion Hall’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. Formerly known as Dancehall Artist Lady Saw, we have witnessed her transition from a Dancehall Artist to a Christian, to a Minister in the faith. There are some who have applauded her changes, and there are some who doubt her walk, and believe she’ll be back to her old self soon. While it has been a few years, Marion Hall is still walking, and she has reinvented herself. She speaks on a few things in the music video for the single, “Sorry To Hurt Your Feelings“.

Directed by Ariff Butler/Bloozick Filmworks, Marion Hall is clapping back at the Devil, and all those who have wished for her demise. She smiles in the face of badmind, and gives God thanks for her blessings as no evil can harm her, or put her in a destitute position. She has been ministering to many around the world, and she has been releasing content that help people to better their lives. While many wish for the old Lady Saw, she has closed that chapter. The Minister is having fun, and it shows in her visual, and she can only elevate from here. Sorry not sorry.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Claudelle Clarke – I Saw The Light (1979)

With 2020 being a year filled with crazy events, it’s only right we start our first Oldies Sunday of 2021 on a Gospel note. Today’s selection comes from Gospel Music Icon Claudelle Clarke with the track, “I Saw The Light“.

Produced/Arranged by Alvin Ranglin and released through GG’s Records in 1979, this was a cover of “The King Of Country MusicHank Williams Sr.’s 1948 single. The song speaks of a backslider who looks back at the many things they have done before they see the light of God, and expresses how they feel after being saved. Before Claudelle Clarke’s version, “I Saw The Light” was already a Country Gospel standard, and was covered by the likes of Country Music Pioneer Ernest Tubb, Music Icon Pat Boone, Country Music Icon Willie Nelson, and many others. Claudelle Clarke’s version stood the test of time for being one of the best Jamaican Gospel songs ever made, and is still touching hearts to this day. The single was featured on Clarke’s 1979 album, “God Is A Mountain“.

Let’s all be safe this year please? Check out the track below, and share with a friend. Show us some love/follow us on Twitter and Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.
