It’s getting hotter, and that means it’s time to find a few parties this Summer cool off at. When it comes to big vibes and tons of fun, the pool, the boat, and the beach are a few locations needed to get things started. Dancehall/Reggae Icon Shaggy knows about those parties very well, and with “Til A Mawnin (Remix)“, he’s bringing you all there.

Featuring International Icon and frequent collaborator Sting in a Jay Will-directed video, Shaggy turns things up on the Yacht, and at the beach in the visual for “Til A Mawnin (Remix)”. We get a new sound here that’s produced by Shane Hoosong, Big Dawg, and H.B. Monte, and it’s all about enjoying good company with your favourite drinks and music in tow. Shaggy has been very busy this year, and he shared some of what he has been up to recently with Jamaicans.com. Catch him on the road extending his reign as an International Ambassador of Dancehall and Reggae in the coming days, and rock with him and his hits til a mawnin!

For just a moment we go back, back in time to experience something special. The 80s saw the gradual rise of Dancehall Music and the continuation of the rise of Lovers’ Rock, and it birthed many Artists and various musical styles. For this post, we experience the 80s night life in Jamaica in Sean Paul’s visual for the single, “Rebel Time“.

Directed by Jay Will, “Rebel Time” is a collaboration between Sean Paul and Beres Hammond that connects with the ladies, entices fans of the Lovers’ Rock vibe, and it pays respect to those who helped to pave the way for the further development of Jamaican music. The single was produced by Dutty Rock Productions/Ineffable Records, and was receiving positive feedback since its release over a month ago. The video features the two musical legends taking over a Dancehall party with a performance that has everyone dancing and having a great time. Ready for some time traveling?

If you aren’t familiar with Wayne Marshall’s massive hit, “Glory To God“, you might’ve be living under a rock these past few months. While he has been climbing charts and assisting in winning souls, Wayne has been busy making a Short Film for the track. Teaming up with Director Jay Will, he has finally released a near 15 minute visual. Featuring talented folks such as Camille Davis, Sakina Deer, Zbek, Ruschiene Deidrick, Celene Tyson, Kevin Brown, and appearances from Tessanne Chin and Ryan Mark who also made the song, we get many twists and bouts of redemption in this one. PRESS RELEASE: Vybz Kartel’s “Fever” Rises

Just a few days after the release of Fever, the first single from Vybz Kartel’s “King of the Dancehall” album, the accompanying video has already amassed over 300 thousand views on YouTube. The video was directed by Jay Will/ Game Over who creatively conceptualized the masterpiece.

The video is a raunchy, sexy one that brings the words of the song to life. The lead girl in the video suffers from uncontrollable heat in her dreams, bringing on a “fever”; when she awakes she is feverish and covered in sweat. No doubt the video will continue to grow in popularity, as comments are pouring in by the minute.The song Fever comes as an instant gratification when someone purchases “King of the Dancehall”, which was made available for pre-order May 6th exclusively on iTunes.

Distributed by Zojak World Wide, the album will be available exclusively to Apple Music subscribers on June 3rd, the same day  the third instant gratification track, ‘Colouring This Life’, will be offered in the iTunes store. Apple Music will offer exclusive streaming one week before the album is available for download on June 10th , a service usually reserved for major label artists.

“King of the Dancehall” contains never before released tracks from Vybz Kartel, all recorded by the prolific artiste before his incarceration.  The album is a collaborative effort between Adidjahiem Records/TJ Records. Over the years Vybz Kartel has created a strong following with his creative and ingenious lyrics and he shows no signs of slowing down now.
