Spragga Benz Goes For Another Round With “Endeavors Reloaded” Album

Spragga Benz is a legend. Since the 90s, he has delivered hit singles, appeared in Films, and has maintained a presence whether he’s doing Dancehall, or Reggae. His name is in the rafters as one of the best to do it, and he continues to build on his legacy. He looks to make more statements with the release of, “Endeavors Reloaded“.

An enhanced edition of the 2025 “Endeavors” album, Spragga Benz executes a new vision with the new “Reloaded” album. Featuring 13 tracks, the Deejay gives us some previously-released tracks with new features, expanding his reach. Production is handled by Red Square and LMRPro like the original “Endeavors”, with features from Bugle, Sean Paul, G. Dep, Agent Sasco, JC Lodge, Briggy Benz, Echo Minott, and Stonebwoy. Spragga Benz continues to put out powerful music, and when the world missed out on the first hit, sometimes you have reload, and drop again.

OLDIES SUNDAY: J.C. Lodge – Telephone Love (1988)

Women’s History Month is coming to a close, and we appreciate all the Women who stepped up to produce great music and content. For today’s “Oldies Sunday” selection, this tune was what you call a “banger”. The Artist is British-Jamaican Singer/Educator/Creative J.C. Lodge, and we check out her track, “Telephone Love“.

Produced by Augustus “Gussie” Clarke on the “Rumours Riddim” and released through Anchor Records/Music Works Records in 1988, J.C. Lodge’s “Telephone Love” takes us back to a time when the phones were corded, the dials were physical numbers or rotary, and long conversations could mean high phone bills. J.C. shared her admiration for a young man on the song, and she was eager to have those intimate conversations in person under the covers. You could be having a bad day, but that phone convo with that special someone was everything. “Telephone Love” was an instant hit for Lodge, not only was it a big tune in Jamaica, it was the first Dancehall/Reggae single to cross over into the R&B/Hip Hop markets in the U.S., charting high in the process, and gave Lodge an record deal with Tommy Boy Records. The single was also featured on her 1990 album, “Selfish Lover“, and the 1992 album, “Tropic of Love“. A version featuring Shabba Ranks was also released.

Since the release of “Telephone Love”, J.C. Lodge went on to release more music, created content focused on Children (her “Sing N Learn” series gained some popularity in Jamaica), and became a Schoolteacher and Fine Artist. She recently released a single in recognition of International Women’s Day, and looks to release even more music. “Telephone Love” remains one of her most popular singles.

Thank You J.C. Lodge For This Classic!

Shabba Ranks Sampled Track Featured In Awkward New @DietCoke Commercial

It’s that time again (for those who watch it), for the NFL Super Bowl! In it’s 52nd presentation, fans witness the duel between the New England Patriots, and the Philadelphia Eagles. There are also those who tune in for the moneymaker, the Commercials! One Commercial that popped up was an awkward one by Beverage giant Coca Cola as they presented their latest flavours in their Diet Coke line. Featuring the Mango flavour, ears perked up as a familiar voice was heard in the ad’s music, Dancehall legend Shabba Ranks! The Deejay appears as a sample from Scottish DJ/Producer Sam Gellaitry’s 2015 single, “Long Distance“. The track is featured on the DJ’s debut project, “Escapism” and samples Shabba Ranks’ vocals from his 1988 single “Telephone Love Deh Pon Mi Mind“, a remix to Singer JC Lodge’s hugely popular “Telephone Love“. While the Commercial was not the greatest way to promote a drink, we enjoyed the music. Check out the Commercial below!
