SYDON REPRESENTS WATERFORD WITH ‘MONEY MI WAH’

Kingston, Jamaica – Dancehall recording artiste Sydon from Portmore has released the single ‘Money Mi Wah’ on the Life Triangle Riddim produced by DJ Rhome. The artiste who is popular in the Waterford community has been creating waves and has even become an inspiration for other young acts. “It’s all about being a role model and showing others that it’s okay to aspire to do great things” shared Sydon.

The artiste who created waves this summer at The Famous Night Club for the Portmore Star Competition shared that the single, which is distributed by 21st Hapilos Digital, is all about his life in the ghetto. The song speaks about money as the root of all evil and implores youths to find ways to work hard and not depend on ‘easy money’. The management team for Sydon, Mystro Music shared “Sydon is a very versatile artiste and he has good messages usually addressing issues in his community of Waterford”.

Sydon is also a part of the collaboration entitled ‘Di Streetz’ featuring several Waterford artistes which came as a result of his connections to Taylor Made Events and PR Management. “Di Streetz and Money Mi Waan are two songs that speak to life in Waterford and I believe that my voice is the voice of the youths here” added Sydon. “The video for Di Streetz will be out soon and we will be working with Ramon Lindsey on a video for Money Mi Wah” shared, Sydon’s Management Team.

The young star has been receiving radio support and is set to embark on several media tours and he is eager to release his first official video.

PRESS RELEASE: @Miss_Str8 Brings The Heat

Miss Str8 is the hot newcomer to the dancehall circuit. Based in Austria, where she has made a name for herself and has performed alongside top dancehall superstars, she’s now looking forward to acquire the same prominence in the country of her birth.

She is ready with a strong desire for that mainstream acceptance from the global capital of reggae and dancehall music, Jamaica.

The recording artiste obtained the moniker, Miss Str8, from her candid personality. “Though I’m a very jovial person, I am very straightforward with a zero tolerance when disrespect comes in. I am a focused musician and that’s extremely important in this male-dominated industry, in order to be a respected female performer, “she explained.

Her debut single, Nuh Care, was released in 2010. This presented opportunities to showcase her remarkable stage presence. Ultimately, she was able to demonstrate her prowess in not only singing but her dancing abilities as well. The songs Summertime,Stay Strong and Bad Nuh followed and became well known in most European countries, creating a strong fan base for the singer primarily in Austria, Germany and Italy.

Her most recent track, Ova Me, is composed by Austria-based Tom Hype production on their Four Corners rhythm. The video will be premiered later this month on VEVO.

A-GAME DOMINATES GUNGO WALK FESTIVAL

While his new single is burning up the airwaves A-Game has been making moves. After his return from a European Tour with Konshens and the Blu Print Band he performed and dominated the popular Gungo Walk Festival held yearly at Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts. The festival featured other popular acts such as Chevaughn, Wayne Marshall, Ikaya and many more.

His set started at 6:30 pm and featured his hit song ‘A-Game Everyday’ along with new singles such as ‘Working All Day’, ‘Ego’, and ‘Must Give In’ which was an acoustic preview of an unreleased collaboration with Subkonshus artiste Javada. A-Game shared, “my set was complex, it had a lot of variations and it was very dynamic especially because of the intensity from my backing band A1”.

Additionally, A-Game received a lot of support from the music fraternity who attended the event to support his live performance. Subkonshus CEO and mentor to A-Game, Konshens was in attendance along with Delus, JCapri, and Kevin from Voicemail. “I had to support A-Game, he is very talented and ambitious and I wanted to hear his new material” shared the ‘Pull Up to Mi Bumpa’ singjay JCapri, while the ‘Gal a Bubble’ star Konshens added “Cah him bad an me know! I want to know how long it will be before everybody else knows; seeing him live helps with my survey as well as puts me in fan mode for a bit”.

A-Game who received a very welcoming reception from the patrons added “I thought that was my best performance so far and many individuals thought it was the best performance for the show and I am grateful for that. I also believe it was a start for me. I wanted to prove myself in a live performance and not just in recordings; music is changing and unlike most young acts I find that it is imperative that work is put into perfecting my craft and how I present myself to my fans”.

Publicist for A-Game, Talisa Taylor shared “A-Game has been doing exceptionally well and his single has aired on several radio stations here in Jamaica and abroad. He has also been receiving great support online and as such I strongly believe that this is the beginning of something great”. A-Game is set to release a collaboration with Konshens produced by DJ Benny Page from the UK.

PRESS RELEASE: @TommyLeeSparta Makes Triumphant Return To Costa Rica

Ace deejay Tommy Lee Sparta made an exuberant return to Central America for his Costa Rican supporters. This appearance marks the entertainer’s third show for his massive fan base in Costa Rica. With high-energy the gothic star took to the “Dancehall Xplosion” stage giving arguably the best performance of the night. The Party is here promoted event was held at the Cuty stadium in the city of Desamparados.

 This event was a special one for the country who celebrated their independence the following day. It was the bash to attend for the holiday with notable attendees, such as the ambassador to Jamaica present. The stadium with a capacity of over five thousand was packed to witness dancehall’s disputably reigning stars: Tommy Lee Sparta, Aidonia and Popcaan, as well as selectors of Copper shot, DJ Ruff and DJ Cuilo.

After thrilling the audience Tommy expressed, “Right now mi overjoyed. So much love from the people. Nothing tush, everything well bad! Mi surprised how much a mi new song dem already know. To hear them a sing along with a song dat mi drop last week is insane.”

The undeniable favorite track of the night was “Defend” composed by Zion production a prominent record label in the territory. Among the other well received were hits such as: “Psycho”, “shook”, “Vibes Inna This”, “Mechanic”, “Spartan Angel”, “Dream”, “Bad Like We”, “Party Non-Stop” and “Buss A Blanka”.

The artiste now prepares for his next stop in Suriname before he jets off to French Guiana, Guyana, Martinique and St. Martin.

A-GAME LAUNCHES SOLO CAREER

A-Game, who is more popularly known as the lead singer of the Blu Print Band has premiered his first music video for his single ‘A-Game Everyday’ produced by Vern Hill recently at the 5:30 Social Lounge. He shared “this is a general concept; in every single aspect of your life from work to relationships it is very important to be on you’re A-Game everyday”.

The video shot by Aeonpro Studio also features a special appearance from Jamaican sprint star Warren Weir. “Warren is a good friend of mine and his tagline is ‘be the best you can be’ so we basically had the same message to bring across” A-Game shared. When asked about his affiliation with the Blu Print Band he made it clear that he is still the lead singer and adds that they are very supportive of his music.

The single ‘A-Game Everyday’ is a fusion of old school hip hop and dancehall. “I love music and I feel as though it is very important to fuse different genres and just be more versatile” he added, “I think people are tired of hearing the same things so I hope to bring something new to the table and make myself marketable internationally”.

The Blu Print Band came on the scene in 2011 and became popular after its win in the Battle of the Bands Competition in 2012 in London. “I see my band as my family, the producer of the single is actually a member of the band as well so their support is never ending” he further added.
A-Game and his band are set to tour with Konshens July of this year in Europe.

unnamedNuh Behavia king, KipRich, and the dancehall rebel, Danielle D.I., recently released the upbeat and daring single, “Hear The Pree”.

The song is one of the hottest tracks on the Clean Money rhythm distributed by Johnny Wonder 21st Hapilos.

The single has two versions, one for the airwaves and another for the street. “Hear The Pree” is steadily gaining momentum in both spheres.

“The feedback has been real good so far. Everywhere I go, when it plays, the girls go crazy. The vibe in and outside of the dance has been terrific! The radio DJs are also picking it up, so it’s a great feeling,” Danielle said.

“It’s a new year and all I can say is expect the unexpected. My female fans have been asking for more, and I know this combination delivered. Trust and believe lots more to come from KipRich this 2014,” added Kiprich.

Kiprich and Danielle DI are both preparing to shoot the visuals for Hear The Pree. Their production team is currently scouting locations in Portland for a steamy music video.
