Zamunda Sings Praises In “No One But You Lord”

Zamunda is an Artist who continues to expand on his Artistry, and deliver music that reaches hearts, and connects listeners to the Creator. Last August he released the album, “My Truth, My Journey“, and it has been receiving a lot of love Internationally. The Recording Artist continues to push the album to more places, and earlier he released the video for the track, “No One But You Lord“.

Directed by Anthony Bailey, Zamunda gives thanks to The Most High in the video for, “No One But You Lord”. The visual finds him connecting with his brethren in nature, where they fellowship and worship, and it is all beautifully captured. Zamunda delivers with strong words throughout, and melodies that will reach everyone. The “My Truth, My Journey” album has been performing well on Streaming platforms, and looks to be a contender for one of the year’s best Reggae releases. Hail the King Of Kings.

It’s a new week, and with it comes new music. We know the influence of Jamaica around the world. No matter how they try to downplay it, wi large! Today’s post highlights a Singer who was influenced by Jamaica’s music culture for his latest single. Check out Maryland-born/Liverpool-based Recording Artist Jalen Ngonda’s “All About Me“.

Produced by Victor Axelrod and released through Daptone Records, Jalen Ngonda taps into some old school Reggae vibes for the new single, “All About Me”. Jalen plays the role of an arrogant lover here as he tells his love interest that his love is a rare one, and she’ll never find another like his. On the other hand, she means something important to him, and he believes the relationship will endure. The song might have been inspired by the 1978 single “Go Away Dream” by Derrick Harriott (which was a cover of the 1973 single by The Chi-Lites), but overall, one would truly believe this was recorded by one of our soulful acts from back in the day. There is even a Dub version of the track that you can check out below. Jalen Ngonda has found himself a viral hit, and we look forward to what he’ll step out with next.

Mr. Vegas is a Jamaican music legend. You may have your opinions about him, but for nearly 30 years, he has delivered hit singles, commanded stages, and kept his name prominent in the music and media scene. He is still in demand, and is still recording. He has also been showing love those who paved the way for him. With his new album, “Ghetto Reggae“, you’ll hear where his mind is at.

Featuring 14 songs, Mr. Vegas presents an ode to “Rub-A-Dub” Reggae with the album, “Ghetto Reggae”. He has leaned into this direction a number of times over the years, and with the new album he hopes to make it a trend that more Artists follow. Production on “Ghetto Reggae” salutes the sounds of yesteryear, and joining Mr. Vegas on the production boards are Mark A. Brown, Wolfpack Muzic, Yung Alpha, The Kemist, and Marc Jouanneaux, while Vegas shares the booth with the late Daddy URoy, Demelo, and Greentone. Despite being a veteran, Mr. Vegas finds the time to pay homage to the foundations of Jamaican music, while adding his own sound to extend their lifelines.

St. Elizabeth-based Recording Artist/Creative Evaflow has been displaying his line of creations for a number of years. With his brand, he has opened his doors to fellow Creatives who needed a platform for their unique expressions, and he has put together content that continues to stand out. Recently, after much anticipation, he released the album, “Start From The Sky Vol. 1 – The Sun Never Sets“.

Featuring 10 tracks, Evaflow hasn’t just released the album, “Start From The Sky Vol. 1 – The Sun Never Sets”, he released a scroll filled with positive messages, motivation, and good intentions. The album got a slow release over time as Evaflow shared previously 8 out of the 10 tracks, but the Artist believed that NOW is more right than ever to make everything come together in a proper package. Production on “SFTS Vol. 1” includes the likes of Paris La Mont, Dazed Beathead Collective, Jah9, Green Lion Crew, and Kabaka Pyramid along with his own production, while features include Protoje, Sara Lugo, Royal Blu, and Jodeane. OLDIES SUNDAY: Neville Martin – The Message (1976)

On September 3, Jamaica will be a part of another General Election. The Jamaica Labour Party, the People’s National Party, and Independent parties will vie for the top spot, which will be made possible by the voting public. This platform WILL NOT tell you who to vote for, but we will provide music that reflected on this grand (and stressful) event. On “Oldies Sunday” today, we’d like to highlight music that aided in or was a part of previous Elections. Today, we look back at Neville Martin’s “The Message“.

Produced by Clancy Eccles and released through Clan Disc/Clancy Records in 1976, Neville Martin delivered something that the people needed to hear in, “The Message”. Released 2 weeks before the 1976 Jamaican General Election, Martin shared that his choice for leadership was all Jamaican, had the right ideas for progress, and was for the people. Martin’s song praised the works on the People’s National Party, which was lead by Michael Manley, as they implemented a number of projects that helped to advance the Island since the party’s victory in the 1972 Elections. The song quickly became popular for not only Martin, but Eccles, as they were closely aligned with the PNP, and it helped to sway the voting public into investing in the PNP, as the party wasn’t performing well in the polls. The PNP would go on to win the Election, and hold the seats until losing power to the JLP in 1980.

Neville Martin’s “The Message” continues to hold a significant place in the PNP’s music catalogue, and can be heard during their political rallies over the years. Both the PNP and JLP have their share of anthems, but “The Message” has always been a stand out track. Whoever you vote for on September 3, make sure it’s the right choice.

Since the 2010s, Recording Artist Keznamdi has been blazing trails with his sound, and building a movement that continues to strengthen. With a number of projects under his belt, he has been taking on the world, and connecting with the people with uplifting message music. After many demands, he finally releases the new album, “BLXXD & FYAH“.

Featuring 13 tracks, Keznamdi brings out some of his best work to date with the release of, “BLXXD & FYAH”. Kez gives the world more powerful music, shares his observations, and calls for the right order to be restored in the world. The project aims to connect with people who need positive messages, and need something different than what’s out there currently. Off Grid handles the lion’s share of production on “BLXXD & FYAH”, while Major Seven and Fortune join in with their sounds. Collaborations are not new here, and Kez shares his stage with Masicka, Mavado, Kelissa, and Marlon Asher. 2025 has welcomed plenty projects from our Caribbean Artists, and “BLXXD & FYAH” may just be a part of the top end of the year lists.
