We Have Highlights Of The Mandeville Staging Of @IYFJamaica’s “K-Fest 2024”

Over the past weekend (June 1), the International Youth Fellowship (IYF Jamaica) held the Mandeville staging of their annual “K-Fest” event. The event started little over 3 years ago, and was held to promote a stronger relationship with Korea and Jamaica, bring people together to share cultures, food, languages, and entertainment, expanding tastes and minds in the process. Held at the Fellowship Tabernacle Church in Mandeville, Manchester, attendees of all ages ate different dishes and snacks, danced to popular K-Pop tracks, learned Korean, and witnessed different aspects of Korean culture. We captured some highlights from the event, and you can check it out below.

Special thanks to the members of the International Youth Fellowship for the event and allowing the visual recapping of the event to happen, the volunteers from Korea who assisted in making the event a success, and for those who shared their thoughts about the event on video. Here’s to one day where 13th Street Promotions will be creating content live in South Korea.

She recently got the attention of many with the release of “Overdrive“. She now looks to take her brand, and talent to new levels with the release of, “Falling In Love“.

Done in collaboration with Sint Maarten DJ/Producer Sherman de Vries, Moroccan Producer Navaro, Producer Cymatic Audio, and Producer Luigi Society, Leaha takes on EDM on “Falling In Love”. Over high energy production, listeners will be taken to a different world while Leaha’s vocals cushion the ride as she sings about that feeling when you’re experiencing love. The Singer looks to become a more International entity, and with EDM ruling Europe and various parts of the world, Leaha’s name will be popping up in more markets. OLDIES SUNDAY: Mr. G (Goofy) – Dog Bark (1996)

It’s a new month, and we want to start it off in a comedic way on “Oldies Sunday“. For today’s selection, we go back in time to check out Mr. G (also known as Goofy)’s single, “Dog Bark“.

Produced by Steely & Clevie on the “Colombian Necktie Riddim” and released through Studio 2000 in 1996, the pursuit of some loving is disturbed by a few things in “Dog Bark”. Mr. G pursues a young lady in this adventure, and they have decided to have some fun in the dark in a not so convenient space. Despite it being a spontaneous way of connecting, the disturbance of dogs and a furious weapon-wielding Father who believes in the security of his family take over the situation, and could end with Mr. G admitted to the Hospital, or laid to rest. Mr. G always delivered some of his music in a comedic way (thanks to his own vocal version of the Disney character “Goofy”), and “Dog Bark” was instantly met with positive reviews. It also gave the Deejay a #1 placement on Jamaica’s music charts, and its accompanying Llewellyn O’Reggio-directed Music Video further showcased his comedic side.

Since the release of “Dog Bark”, Mr. G continued to have a successful career throughout the 90s, 2000s, and beyond as a Recording Artist, and Producer. He has assisted in the development of a number of Artists, and is still actively recording, performing, and releasing music. “Dog Bark” is still loved and played by many today.
