Plotting on a come up the Sons Of Liberty finally dropped their long awaited mixtape. Titled “Escape Theory“, this is a 13 track set of hard hitting lyrics and production by the collective. Featuring production by King Biggs, Heatwave, RipTide, and haYze and verses from all members, this is a project that was 7 years in the making. Recorded at Phillip Myers’ studio, they were able to bring us music from the soul, their form of expression without restriction or control. The Sons Of Liberty are coming to your neighborhood, no need for your Neighborhood WatchDogs. Today’s new video comes from the collective of King Biggs, haYze, The Therapist, Tristan, The Rush and 5 Star. Titled “Tribes of Hip Hop” and directed by Yannick Reid for Aeon Pro Studios, Randy Richards and Matthew McCarthy, we see them leading a mob through a neighborhood all while dropping bars over a hard hitting production made by King Biggs. You may also see a few familiar faces in the crowd. Who got the Jazz? I need a SOL shirt! Over the weekend hip hop lovers got treated to some of the best entertainment at #PayAttention. Held on March 2 at Club Indulge, patrons got to enjoy songs from Iyah Gift, Koro Fyah, France Nooks and others. Today I highlight a performance from rapper Five Star from Sons Of Liberty (SOL).
