.@TheNomaddz & Eriq Sterling Drop “Clarkz Like Dis” To Celebrate The Iconic Footwear Brand

Nothing like a good pair of Clarks shoes to enhance your outlook on life eh? While we put you on to knowing the real pairs from the fake with Kevin2woKrayzee 4 years ago, today we celebrate the iconic Footwear Brand with The No-Maddz! While they released the Eriq Sterling assisted and Walshy Fire and The Wixard produced single recently, they double up today with the music video for “Clarkz Like Dis“! Shot in the UK by Henry Robinson and directed by the now duo of Sheldon Shepherd and Everaldo Creary along with Miael McGeachy, we get a colourful visual highlighting the many silhouettes that Clarks has to offer along with some unique fashion pieces. We also get a bit of social commentary throughout so stay woke. A 4 minute and 20 second video? Stoners unite! Whether you’re a Desert Clarks wearer from Downtown Kingston, a Bankrobber stepper in Brixton, or a Wallabee don from New York, we all can appreciate this selection. Who has a Clarks like dis? Show off your favourite pair, check out the video below, and share with a friend. Show us some love on Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.

Chip Off The Old Block: Meet The New Kids Of Dancehall x Reggae (Pt. 3)

First they started out as the youth of the Dancehall/Reggae culture, now they’re parents with growing kids. It isn’t unusual for the child of an Entertainer to follow in their parent’s footsteps one way or the other as at times they bring a modern take on their parent’s creations, or create their own lane. Some of the most famous off springs include Stephen, Ziggy, and Damian “Junior Gong” Marley (Sons of Bob Marley), Chino and Di Genius (Sons of Freddie McGregor), Junior Tucker (Son of Jimmy Tucker), Morgan Heritage (Children of Denroy Morgan), Tarrus Riley (Son of Jimmy Riley), Queen Ifrica (Daughter of Derrick Morgan), Protoje (Son of Lorna Bennett), Chronixx (Son of Chronicle) and many more. In part 3 of a few part series, I feature more of the new set of kids on the scene whose parents have covered much ground in their respective careers.

NEW MUSIC: @TheWizardJA x @BeresHammondOJ – Rockaway (Wizophelia Mix)

artworks-000083851816-1wqgdt-t500x500Two generations come together today for a new awesome song! The artists are Reggae legend Beres Hammond and his daughter The Wizard. Here The Wizard remixes the timeless “Rockaway” and dubs it the “Wizophelia Mix“. Utilizing the chorus from the song, Wiz adds her electronic sounds to give it that futuristic vibe. Great effort here, could this be the first of many to come? Stay tuned. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW MUSIC: @TheWizardJA – Toppanaris

BncXMM7CIAEyPzDStepping on the scene is Singer/Producer Natassja Hammond a.k.a. The Wizard with a new single. Titled “Toppanaris” and self produced, Wiz speaks about being the original one around, separating herself from everyone, how she has a commanding presence and should be treated like royalty and will always step out like a champion. I like the production and her delivery on this one. I’ll admit I’m late to her music but I know she’s a part of the team that brought you Kat Dahlia’s “Mash It Up”. Jamaica is a bubbling pot of talent that can go toe to toe with any genre out there. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
