PRESS RELEASE: @ListenMiCarib News Signs On For Season Two With @CVMTV

The fast-rising digital media content start-up, Listen Mi Caribbean has officially signed on for Season two of ‘Listen Mi News’ on CVM Television. The programme was first aired online in 2013 to rave reviews and found itself by the summer of 2014 as a part of the World Cup Championship coverage on CVM TV. Its high ratings resulted in the network creating a permanent slot for the show on the station. Listen Mi News, in essence is a summary of current affairs or specific news topics delivered in the form of music and visuals. This concept made what many people found to be a mundane way of broadcasting the news, much more interesting and entertaining.

Recording artiste Bay C known for being a member of platinum selling quartet T.O.K. works alongside fellow Listen Mi Caribbean  Co-founder and music producer Icon, Reggae singer Chase and Deejay Hodari each week to deliver Listen Mi News. The company has since secured their place in history by producing the first programme of its kind in the Caribbean. Bay C said, “It was a concept that came out of a conversation with a friend on tour in Europe. I loved the challenge of it, the fact that it was never done before in this side of the world and also it allowed me to showcase my skills of making music around any topic. Once I returned to Jamaica I shared the idea with the directors at Listen Mi Caribbean, and the four of us as founding partners fleshed it out”.

As they prepare for Season two on October 16th, 2015, Icon promises to deliver more creative content. He shared, “I want Listen Mi News to be the Voice of the People so we will be visiting several communities and schools to give persons the chance for their voice to be heard”. Bay C added that the reason behind this interactive move is based on the feedback received from children and teenagers alike, sharing that ‘Listen Mi News’ makes the news more “appealing to the younger generation”.

‘Listen Mi News’ premieres on CVM Television on Fridays at 8:55 pm (immediately after News Watch) with repeats on Saturday at 7:00pm, Monday at 10:00pm, Tuesday and Thursday at 1:55pm and Wednesday at 6:55 pm.

NEW VIDEO: @RR_Musiq x @Mavado_Gully – Crazy In Love (Remix)

After teasing listeners with the single for months, RR and Mavado finally release the visuals to “Crazy In Love (Remix)“. Directed by RD Studios and shot in Florida, we see scenes of RR and the Gully Gad getting cozy with one another, RR channeling her inner Picasso accompanied by some great shots throughout the video. Her bathtub scene might be a favourite for many, and the scenes where both artists are together could be a part of many girls’ “Relationship Goals” memes. NEW VIDEO: @TommyLeeSparta – Dolla Bill

It’s all about the green, the dinero, the cash, and the moula in Tommy Lee Sparta’s latest music video. “Dolla Bill” was directed by Antoine Chung and features scenes of some lovely talent from the popular Taboo Night Club and a visual of Tommy Lee and his crew on the hustle and having fun. PRESS RELEASE: @RasXtr3me Celebrates Rastafarians In New Single

Ras Xtr3me is celebrating his belief in the Rastafarian culture with his new single ‘Shaat Locks’ produced by Audiotraxx Productions on the ‘Shaat Lox Riddim’. The single speaks about the authentic levity of Rastafari and speaks to youths who have an interest in the movement. Ras Xtr3me sang, “Shaat Locks no tats no glass chain no Gold watch, Xtr3me roll the Rasta way, Natural bead head wrap” which is a clear indication that Ras Xtr3me is not here for the ‘fake Rastas’.

With strong beliefs, Ras Xtr3me said “I am a cultural Reggae artiste who believes all musicians should travel on a path of truth and righteousness. Our music should be a reflection of positivity and strength”. Reigning from Old Harbour, St Catherine, Ras Xtr3me grew up with the influence of music from veterans such as Flick Wilson, Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Third World Band, Nina Simone, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaac, Garnet Silk, and Buju Banton. When asked about his proudest moment he shared “Mutabaruka is one of the radio personalities I admire and to hear him play my single, it was truly appreciated. I hope to influence a positive change through embracing roots and culture among our youths and he basically created the medium for me to do so”.

Ras Xtr3me is set to perform on several stages in Jamaica and is eager to start his promotional trail for the new single. The single can be found on Soundcloud.

NEW VIDEO: @AlexxAGame – No Time Fi Badmind

A song, which is a favourite of mine as of late has finally received the visual treatment. A-Game’s “No Time Fi Badmind” which was directed by LEB Studio and TD Imaging, shows A-Game on a cross country tour of Jamaica while we hear the lyrics of the single that has been quietly bubbling in the streets. A daily anthem for many, the video can now give viewers near and far a piece of Jamaica as they learn the 14 Parishes and see a couple landmarks.
