With his Ancient Future album finally being released, Protoje went over the shores and stopped by Hot 97’s “Ebro In The Morning” show. Here he gave a little on his background, his album, the difference between his music and other music in Jamaica, liking Hip Hop and Reggae influencing the genre, the decriminalizing of Marijuana in Jamaica, and more. Pretty short interview but still a good one. Protoje’s riding high off Ancient Future’s success as it has topped a few Reggae and iTunes charts. Since announcing his new deal last year, Deejay Teflon has been pretty busy and on Onstage he speaks on that and more. Here he spoke on making new music and videos, lecturing, wanting to elevate music to another dimension, bring the “New King”, premiering his “Talk Dem A Talk” video, not having a huge beef with I Octane, and urging listeners not to misjudge him.
