In case you didn’t know, we’re still in “Cruff SZN“. King Cruff emphasized in our recent feature that he will release more music this year, and before you know it, there will be an album available. Still reaching out to new territories and ears, he has been finding success with “FallBack“, and “LINGO“, and now he’s taking the vibes to North America with, “Toronto Condo Girls“.

Produced by Circa Eleven and Tessellated and featuring Solo YT, King Cruff continues his journey in making music that will stand out. The Artists share their adventures in the big city, the Women they’ve come across, and overall secured another collab over solid production that will be on repeat. Cruff and Solo recently shared their “LINGO” collaboration that has been doing well, so “Toronto Condo Girls” will be another one for the books (Can we expect a collab EP from them?). A lot can happen in the big city, just be careful of the people you interact with.

Manchester-based Dancehall Artist Jquan continues to bring his music to more places, and expand on his brand. He already has a number of hit singles, and has made appearances on a number of events locally and Internationally. He looks to keep the vibes going with the video for the new single, “Catch E Rock“.

Done in collaboration with DJ Frass for the “Party Bus Riddim“, Jquan is bringing the energy with “Catch E Rock”. The party is just getting started, but the Deejay is going make sure that everyone is moving to the beat. With a Music Video directed by Now Or Never, we hit the road with the Deejay, and we join the Dancers and partygoers for a good time in the streets. A few familiar faces show up throughout the video as well. You don’t have to be the biggest Dancer, but it’s all about good vibes, and music to get you ready for the summertime party scene. Jamaican Music is global, and that’s something that will never get old. When it comes to Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel, his music connects with many around the globe. So much so that there are Artists who are heavily influenced by him. There are too many to name, but there are examples like Shatta Wale being the “Vybz Kartel of Africa/African Dancehall“, Skillibeng and Sikka Rymes look up to the “World Boss” as a Mentor, and in recent time, Kenyan Dancehall Artist Rudra Kartel is inspired by him. He gained recognition in the late 2010s for sounding like the Deejay on a track, and since then, the comparisons have been consistent. Recently, he shared the Music Video for the single, “Manzi Wa Nairobi“.

Directed by Kenani Shot It, Rudra Kartel shares his love for the ladies in “Manzi Wa Nairobi”. The African countries have blessed the world with many beautiful Women, but there’s something special about a “Girl brought up in Nairobi“. Kartel can be seen canoodling with a love interest throughout the video, and he definitely gives off the embodiment of Vybz Kartel through his flow, and image. “Manzi Wa Nairobi” was produced by KingPheezle and Jojay for Stray Music, and was featured on Kartel’s “Ghetto Kartel Vol. 1” project from 2023. Kartel has been finding popularity on the TikTok platform for some time, and he has a fanbase that if handled properly, could grow to the levels of Vybz Kartel’s. We’ve often said on here that Caribbean music hits different. Jamaican music is the vibe, and we know its effects when it touches people around the world. The Island is home to the legendary Bob Marley, and his music has inspired so much. One of the persons to be affected by his music is Miami-based Recording Artist/Musician Cris Cab. He first emerged on the scene in 2011, and scored an International hit in 2013 with “Liar, Liar“. He decided to go on a hiatus for some time, but recently returned to the scene with a special release. He presents his cover of Bob Marley’s classic, “Is This Love“.

With a Music Video directed by Andrew and Daniel Terry, Cris Cab takes it to the seashore and the Studio for his “Is This Love” cover. Armed with his Guitar, Cab delivers in the best way he knows to do the iconic song justice. “Is This Love” was originally performed by Bob Marley & The Wailers and released in 1978. The track was featured on the “Kaya” album, and later the “Legend” compilation album. It was certified Gold and Platinum in a number of countries, and was also covered by the likes of Rihanna, Carly Simon, Adam Lambert, and Corrine Bailey Rae, who won a GRAMMY for it in 2012. It was also sampled by Outkast, James Blunt, Toosii, and Prince among others. Cris Cab returns to music in fine style.

There may be roadblocks and opposition, but at the end of the day, he wants you to believe in the mission, because the riches will come. The Music Video, directed by Banka for Bankroller Visuals and featuring emerging Video Vixen Zho (who pulled off the role of an old lady well), Ymo G is going the extra mile for the funds, even if it means breaking into houses. Despite the many debates of the new wave of Chop Dancehall, Ymo G is one of the voices who has gained a sizable following thanks to his catalogue, and he provides a visual of what can happen in that scene. Whether you get it by the leads, or by other means, just “BLV” in the craft.

YG Marley Shares Visual For Viral Hit, “Praise Jah In The Moonlight”

2024 is the year of the Marley. Bob Marley’s biopic “One Love” hit Theatres and did numbers, Julian Marley won a GRAMMY, The Marley Brothers announced a tour, Sharon Marley returned to music, and the Grandchildren of Bob Marley including King Cruff and YG Marley released music, and gained global recognition. YG Marley has been doing well for himself, his “Praise Jah In The Moonlight“, despite mixed criticism, has earned him over a billion streams, and has taken him as far the recently-held Coachella to perform it beside his Mother, Miss Lauryn Hill. The song has done a lot, and continues to make waves on Social Media, and YG adds more life to it with the release of the official Music Video.

Directed by Cole Bennett of Lyrical Lemonade, YG Marley brought the energy of the song to Jamaica with the official visual for “Praise Jah In The Moonlight”. YG takes to the streets, where he proceeds to bring light and love to various communities and individuals by offering flowers, and channels his positive energy to others. The visual also finds him surrounded by Singers in a garden (shout out Yanah who has a cameo appearance), as he performs his hit that aims to climb higher in the music scene. The video features appearances by his Marley family, Kabaka Pyramid, Jesse Royal, and Miss Lauryn Hill. Speaking on Miss Hill, we look forward to the remix of “Praise Jah” with her lyrics.
