Featuring UK Artist Miss LaFamilia, and DJ Lara Fraser from Australia, Camidoh and Vybz Kartel bring the vibes on “Taxi Man”. Over production by StreetBeatz, Toddla T, and Mix Pro, it’s a blend of melodies, clever lyrics, and what a Taxi Man is capable of when he gets into “Mr. Steal Your Girl” mode. A collaboration like this is needed like an Ontime Taxi after a party, and it continues to show that Afrobeats and Dancehall will always click, and the sounds will always be global. A few years ago, we celebrated the late “King Of Pop” Michael Jackson by highlighting some of the popular Jamaican songs that covered his classics. Michael Jackson had and still has a strong musical influence on Jamaica, and tributes are made to him in various ways. Today, we present to you a special Playlist highlighting a few more covers called, “Jamaica Sings Michael Jackson!“.

Consisting of 20 tracks, we have a selection of Artists who all shared a love for Michael Jackson and his music, and they paid tribute to him in their own way. A few weeks ago, we highlighted that Vybz Kartel and Popcaan reunited on the single, “Dull Colour“. The track has received praise and positive feedback since then, and people have been asking for more content from them. The request has been fulfilled as there is now a music video for the track.

Directed by Face Xpression, fans get a chance to see Popcaan perform “Dull Colour” with a few highlights to the “World Boss” through. The video also gives us a story of a young man who is ambitious, but has been having a rough time securing work in Jamaica. Later in the video he is suggested by friends to get work overseas, and life turned around for him in the end. As “Dull Colour” makes its way to more ears, the video is sure to do very well. It’s another Gaza reunion.

There was a time in Dancehall where a certain “Teacha” introduced a “Prefect” to the world, and he went on to become one of the greats in Jamaican music. The “Teacha” is Vybz Kartel, and the “Prefect” was Popcaan. While their respective lives and careers took different turns over the years, they never made any collaborations. That has changed now as they reunited on the new single, “Dull Colour“.

Produced by AikoPonDiBeat, Popcaan and Vybz Kartel make for a reunion that was long overdue. They still sound great together, and they feed off each other’s energy throughout the new track. Will there be more collaborations in the future? We hope so, but it would be great if the original Portmore Empire members reconnected for something too. One can only imagine how that would turn out. It’s been a long time coming, but here’s a new Popcaan and Vybz Kartel!

Producer/Recording Artist Rvssian continues to keep his brand afloat with various singles and productions that turn into hits, and is still staying true as a member of the Gaza Nation. He has a few surprises that he has been steadily unveiling over the course of this year, and now he drops another with the release of “Sixteen“.

Rvssian not only brought out friend and long-time collaborator Vybz Kartel for “Sixteen”, he recruited multiplatinum US Rapper Trippie Redd. Released through Head Concussion Records, we get a combination of Rvssian’s beats and lyrics, Kartel’s signature wordplay, and Trippie’s melodic delivery. Prior to the track’s release, Trippie was seen with Tommy Lee Sparta, so we expect another collab soon. The Shane Creative-directed music video finds the Artists (and Vybz Kartel via a face swap filter) in the streets with the people, and they perform their parts in various locations. It was reported earlier this week that Vybz Kartel is dealing with some health-related issues, and we hope he gets the right help at this time.

She’s a Media personality who has done big things, and she isn’t old enough to drink. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, she goes by the name Jazzy, and she hosts the “Jazzy’s World TV” series. Her videos can be seen on Social Media and Youtube, where she meets some of the biggest Artists out, and asks them a few questions. For her latest Interview, she meets one of Dancehall’s biggest stars, Skillibeng.

For a few minutes, Jazzy had a conversation with Skillibeng about his now Internationally recognized music career, being labeled the future of Dancehall Music, citing Vybz Kartel as an Influential figure, bringing the Jamaican culture to various parts of the world, turning a near tragedy into something positive, and more before closing with some words of motivation.
