Produced by the legendary Supa Dups and featuring “Singy Singy” Tarrus Riley, Emanuel’s single gets a makeover filled with great Reggae production with an amazing pairing of vocals that will surely put a smile on the Black Queens worldwide. The original track featured production by the legendary Kardinal Offishall, John Fellner, and Ryan Bakalarczyk. Linking up with Tarrus according to Emanuel “felt like the stars were aligning“. “I know Tarrus Riley from going to the parties of my Jamaican friends where they play music that’s big and nostalgic for them. His song ‘She’s Royal’ is just huge, people are still bumping it in 2020! I think people really appreciate the legacy of that song and the link up is really big for what ‘Black Woman’ means and what I want the legacy of ‘Black Woman’ to be. To have him on it, it felt like the stars were aligning. This is for the ladies who are about stacking up the dollar bills! Having made noise all year, David Lyn is ready for more as his “Any Day Now” EP is a few steps away from official release. We featured his motivational single, “Keep Moving” recently, now he follows up with the single, “Gwan Fi Money“!

Produced by NeriBeats and Izy Beats (with Guitar by Gabrielle “GG” Stok) and featuring “Singy Singy” a.k.a. Tarrus Riley, David Lyn and Riley make fire here as they speak on dealing with women who are all about that money. If the discussion doesn’t have dollar signs in it, leave those ladies alone! This goes out to all the hardworking independent women out there, especially those who make it happen during this worldwide pandemic. Accompanying the single is a music video directed by Noorez “Nunu” Rhemtulla, and shot at the Villa Jamille in Port Antonio, Jamaica! The Summer holidays are over, but in this Covid 19 world, everyone’s stuck inside. With Schools and jobs handling (most) things the online way, we’re seeing the “new norm” everyday. Nonetheless, creators create, and many of them released music in time for Summer 2020 in Jamaica. Today, we look back at a few tracks that were released in the 2nd Volume of the “Las’ Lick Playlist“!

Following up the 2018 Playlist, this 2020 edition features 32 tracks from Jamaican artists. Whether your taste is Dancehall, Reggae, Pop, or Hip Hop, you get dope offerings from emerging artists like Royal Blu, Leno Banton, Blvk H3ro, and Skillibeng, to established acts like Protoje, Beenie Man, Aidonia, Vybz Kartel, and Popcaan, to new acts like Marcilli, Prizal, Niyne, and GyalKapone. Vybz Kartel & @GovanaGenna Drop New Albums For 2020!

Two Dancehall giants leveled up for the 2020 with the release of albums. First off, we have Vybz Kartel’s “To: Tanesha” project, and then Govana with his debut album, “Humans And Monsters Are Not The Same“. Featuring 10 tracks, “To: Tanesha” finds Vybz Kartel being vulnerable and pouring his heart out throughout. For those unaware, Tanesha “Shorty” Johnson is Vybz’s Common-Law Wife, and the mother of 3 of his sons (two of which are Recording Artists Likkle Vybz and Likkle Addi). While their relationship has been a topic of rumor mills, Vybz found himself letting it all out through songs. The album also features appearances from Jada Kingdom, Slimatic, Jodi Couture, Jesse Royal, and Sikka Rymes.

Govana’s “H.A.M.A.N.T.S.” features 14 tracks, and finds him delivering motivational songs, gyal tunes, party tracks, and giving us a lil Social Commentary. Originally known as Deablo, he is a member of Aidonia’s 4th Genna camp, and has been enjoying a rapid run since the name change. For many, this album was highly anticipated and promises to be a repeater. The album features appearances by Tarrus Riley, Dre Island, and Protoje.
