Do you believe in Magic? Sometimes we’re brought to places and get aligned with people that spark magical experiences. UK-based Afro R&B Artist Princess Ade believes in the wonders that are beyond the norm when it comes to meeting someone new, and she talks about it in her new single, “Magic“.

Independently released, Princess Ade gives us her 4th official single, and her 3rd for the year. The track finds her sharing a bond with her love interest that causes more than just sparks flying, and putting her in a position where meeting her is an out of this world experience. Skeng returns with new music that will surely cause a few sparks to appear. He has been electrifying stages lately with his high energy, and this time around he’s gonna give listeners a few jolts through his latest single, “Shak“.

Produced by Zimi Records/Jiggy D Entertainment, “Shak” features Jigsta and Kaka High Flames, and with Skeng they bring a high-powered single that will have everyone dancing. With Skeng’s aggression, Jigsta’s commanding vocals, and Kaka’s dancing vibe, expect this single to send shockwaves in the streets, charging up speakers everywhere. The Now Or Never-directed video finds Jigsta and Kaka playing the roles of JPSCo workers, while Skeng can be found dodging them as he’s commits the act of Electricity theft a.k.a. “bridging light“. While the video promotes a shocking new dance movement, they also shed light on the risks involved with stealing electricity, and JPS’s role in attempting to eradicate the practice in various communities. While it’s not ethical, that’s how many people get by, but if there were solutions that would encourage less of these acts and life made easier for the households, then they need to implement them now. Topmann Seeks A Way Out In “Running”

Life is filled with challenges, how we deal with them, determines our future. Dancehall Artist Topmann has experienced his share of pain, and has been dealing with some loss. While these things can put some people on the edge, the Artist is seeking a way out where he can move forward positively. We hope for the best for him at this time. He gets serious in the video for the single, “Running“.

Produced by Only Hits Music/Collect Di Bred Ent./Jav Don Muzik, Topmann shares some of his pain on “Running”. While it’s easy to run away from your problems, it’s not a solution for solving them. Topmann shares his daily struggles, and many can relate to his story. “Running” was released in the early part of Summer 2023, and it has been resonating with many listeners. Accompanying the single is a music video directed by KD Visuals, and it starts with the Artist receiving some unfortunate news that prompts him to drop everything and run. He is joined by other people along, highlighting that we all have our own share of problems that we wish we could get rid of by running away. We can never say the right words and do the right things, but we hope for the best for those dealing with their times of difficulty.

True true true, wooooo. For today’s Oldies Sunday, we highlight a Jamaican Artist who was recently awarded the Order of Distinction at the National Heroes’ Day ceremony on Heroes Day (October 16). His name is Wayne Mitchell, but we know him as Wayne Marshall, and we feature his single, “Overcome“.

Produced by Lenky Marsden on the “Diwali Riddim” and released through 40/40 Productions in 2002, Wayne Marshall provided words of encouragement on “Overcome”. The Singjay highlights the hardships many experience daily, and with the right guidance, they can move past them all for a better life. Marshall provided his signature delivery throughout, complimenting the production perfectly, which resulting into a hit for him. Add to the popularity of the “Diwali Riddim”, “Overcome” was played everywhere, and gave Marshall more looks in various parts of the world. “Overcome” was featured on the debut album “Marshall Law“, which was released in 2003.

Since the release of “Overcome”, Wayne Marshall continued to enjoy a music career filled with a number of high points. Aside from the music, he enjoys life as a family man with Wife, former Recording Artist Tami Chin-Mitchell, became a successful Youtuber, was recently recruited by CVM TV for a talk show series, became a household name outside of music, and given one of Jamaica’s highest honours. Regardless of his path now, many remember his signature “True true true“, and his hit single “Overcome”.
