16 year old Recording Artist Wynta is on the verge of becoming one of Jamaica’s brightest stars. The Rockfort, East Kingston resident has his focus set on being the best in his skillset, and making a great impact in Dancehall music. He is hopeful, and ready to make great things happen. Having released a number of singles already, he looks to get everybody moving with the release of the video of the new single, “Rich Rock“.

“Rich Rock”, produced by Top Ranks Entertainment, is Wynta’s newest single that aims to shake the place up. The track introduces listeners to a catchy new dance, and is bound to have everyone doing it at the end of 2024, and beyond. With many new dances emerging within the past couple years, the “Rich Rock” may be the new move to gain viral success on Social Media platforms Instagram, and TikTok. Wynta and TopRanks are close to launching a “Rich Rock Dance Challenge“, and the public can look out for the official announcement. Accompanying the new single, is a Music Video directed by Now A Now, and viewers get an opportunity to quickly learn the new dance, and further immerse themselves in the music. A number of Dancers including the “Get There Squad” make an appearance, and bring some well needed energy. “Rich Rock” will appear of Wynta’s upcoming “16 & BAD” EP, which is set to be released by late 2024/early 2025. Dancehall Artist Ai Milly has been staying consistent with the music, and with a new project on the way, he has a lot in store for the people. He kept the summer busy, and for the rest of the year, he’s putting on the pressure with the video for the single, “ABC“.

Directed by 9 Mile Visualz, Ai Milly has his focus on the money, the Women, and the weaponry in “ABC”. He’s in Guerrilla and Gorilla mode (more like Ape like his BAPE gear worn throughout the visual), and he’s showing the people that he’s making things happen even when he’s not posting about it. “ABC” was produced by Caado Beatz, Disaster Music, and Visixon Beatz for Dan Sky Records/Attomatic Records, and looks to hold over the fans until either the “PGLT” album hits the streets, or the next single is released. It’s a Ghurskii world.

Ghost Takes On The Pop Music Charts With ‘Be Your Friend’ Single

Recording Artist Ghost is a Jamaican Music legend. With decades of hits, no one can deny that when he takes centerstage, it’s his moment to shine, and dominate. While has commanded music from some of your favourites with his own covers, he has created quite a number of original songs over the years that found favour with listeners. Aiming to further showcase his versatility, he steps out with the upcoming new single, “Be Your Friend”.

Produced by his MS Music label, Ghost gets into Pop vibes with the release of, “Be Your Friend”. Presenting smooth vocals and his ability to command his form over the production, the Singer finds himself approaching a lady, having a conversation in hopes that they can have a fruitful connection. The track was written by Ghost and P. Wright, and it looks into bringing back the times when dating was all about presenting your best self and getting to know the person you approached. Compared to the ideals of the new generation with Apps and Social Media, Ghost shares what he believes is the right approach through song, and encourages listeners to use their words the right way. Sometimes the best relationships started out as great friendships, and love is a beautiful thing when done right.

Ghost is currently working on his new album, “Underrated”, and the project will symbolize the decades-long tenure of a Man who put his all into the music, a Man who has sometimes been left out of the important music conversations, but his talent allowed him to connect with many around the world, building a strong supporting community in the process. Many try to paint him as a cover Artist, and while many of his hits are indeed cover songs, his albums possess some amazing original songs that have become fans favourites, and scored big points with the audience during his live performances. “Underrated” is expected to see an early 2025 release. He is also gearing up for his headlining event come November 24 at the Di Lot in Kingston.

OLDIES SUNDAY: The Cimarons – Paul Bogle (1976)

Monday October 14 will commence “Heritage Week” in Jamaica. The week leads up to the celebration of our National Heroes on October 21st, and the Island has a number of events lined up. We try to highlight the celebration of our heroes every year on “Oldies Sunday“, and today is no different. Today’s selection comes from The Cimarons with their track, “Paul Bogle“.

The self produced “Paul Bogle” track was released in 1976 through the Cimarak label, and it finds The Cimarons highlighting the contributions of the late National Hero, Paul Bogle. Bogle was a Deacon and Activist from the Parish of St. Thomas, and was instrumental in the 1865 Morant Bay Rebellion. The song encourages everyone to say Bogle’s name loudly, and salute him for the great things he has done in prompting the freedom of Black people in Jamaica. His sacrifice was widely regarded, and he was posthumously awarded the title of National Hero by the Government of Jamaica in 1969 along with George William Gordon, who was involved in the Morant Bay Rebellion, Marcus Garvey, Alexander Bustamante, and Norman Washington Manley. He was immortalized through numerous publications, songs, events, and art, and was the face of the Jamaican 10 cent coin, the $2 bill, and since 2023, is one of the faces of the $50 bill. This past October 11 was recognized as “Paul Bogle Day” in Jamaica. The track became a favourite for many listeners thanks to its dose of knowledge, and was featured on The Cimarons’ 1976 album, “On The Rock“. It was re-recorded and released in early 2024.

No matter what the detractors may say, Dancehall Music is still a dominant force. It continues to be a global phenomenon thanks to the many Ambassadors of the genre, and will stay that way for years to come. Dancehall Producer Jahvy of Tru Ambassador Ent. has been a dedicated representative of the culture, and he has enjoyed a vast amount of success over the years. He recently celebrated another milestone thanks in part to Dancehall Artist, Alkaline.

Recently, Jahvy and Alkaline teamed up for the single, “Dangerous Youth”. Another entry in the list of collaborations they have together, “Dangerous Youth” finds the Deejay in his element as one of Dancehall’s big names over solid production. The collaboration quickly gained traction on music streaming platforms, climbing to over 100,000 views on Youtube in just hours. Strong support for the single was expected, but it further solidified its place by taking the #1 spot on the iTunes Reggae Singles chart. The move was deemed monumental as it towered over Bob Marley’s classic single, “Three Little Birds”, Stephen Marley’s “You Don’t Know How It Feels”, iNi Kamoze’s “Here Comes The Hotstepper”, Shaggy’s “Angel” and “It Wasn’t Me”, and Jimmy Cliff’s “I Can See Clearly Now”. Jahvy shared his accomplishment on Social Media with the caption, “#1, doh get e figure wrong”, and shouting out Alkaline as collaborator, and longtime friend.

Jahvy continues to keep his Tru Ambassador Ent. Ship sailing, and with the success of Dancehall Artist 450, and Producers Week.Day and Falconn under his management, there is a lot more ground for him to conquer. He has hinted at a number of developments to come via his Social Media platforms, and he urges fans to stay tuned.

Jahvy and Alkaline’s “Dangerous Youth” is out now on all digital music streaming platforms.

It’s Friday, and we need everyone on their feet for this one. Recording Artist Blvk H3ro looks to make things a lot more interesting come this 4th quarter of 2024, and he’s moving with a different type of energy. Earlier, he shared the Video for the new single, “Active“.

Done in collaboration with US-based Glassface and co-produced with Noah Beresin, Blvk H3ro is connecting with all the energy that is a part of his everyday life in “Active”. He puts his best foot forward inna Dancehall fashion, and expect the new single to be a contagious one. The Music Video, directed and edited by Glassface, taps into the crazy Mixed Media world of A.I., 360 VR, and 3D Animation, and adds to not only the ever-creative mind of Glassface, but the continued uniqueness that Blvk H3ro has brought forward for years in his music and fashion. “Active” will be a part of their collaborative EP of the same name, which is expected to be released on November 1 through Delicious Vinyl Island.
