Sad One Is Not The One To Ramp With In “Underground” Video

Hip Hop and Dancehall are just two genres that will never leave each other out. No matter how many changes they go through, there will be creators that will blend them together to make great music. Since the advent of the UK, Chicago, and New York “Drill” movements, many artists have been utilizing the new sounds, and making hits of their own. One of the latest artists to do so is Jamaican Rapper Sad One with the track, “Underground“.

With a video directed by Sad One, FaceXpression, and Teshaun Williams, viewers will find Sad One playing the role of a Gangster Boss as a character played by Social Media personality Cuz reaches out to him and airs out his troubles. Sad One then makes the necessary moves to rectify Cuz’s situation, and viewers will see that Sad One is not the person to ramp with. Keep an eye out for Sad One, we believe you’ll be hearing a lot more from him in coming months.

Reggae Music has always been something that entertains, but it also seeks to educate fans as well. Known for dropping lyrical selections but also delivering knowledge and conscious music, Damian “Junior Gong” Marley continues to do just that. Today, we check out the video for the single, “Life Is A Circle“.

Directed by B+ and shot in Miami, Florida, Junior Gong not only gives us a performance of his single, but schools us on the history of the Virginia Key Beach (the video’s true location) which was Miami’s first “Colored Only” Beach which welcomed Black people and other marginalized communities. We learned that the Beach was possible due to many protests, and over the years faced closures until it was considered an ecological treasure and re-opened for good in 2008. Always something of high quality when it comes to Junior Gong, a living legend.

Zac Jone$ has been putting in the work over the years. Having enjoyed the success of the 2019 single “Miss Jamaica” featuring Agent Sasco, he is on his way to making a lot more things happen. Earlier this year he gave the world the bubbling single, “Lonely“, now he follows up with the visual.

Directed by Jesse Suchomel and starring Kadiya McDonald as the love interest, Zac Jone$ deals with matters of the heart over an iotosh production. The video highlights Zac and Kadiya working on getting closer while Zac shares how various factors can affect what can become a promising relationship. The events of the past can make one feel lonely even in a situation, but with the right words of encouragement, they can be put aside to embrace a lovely future. The video is beautifully presented, and features appearances by Sheen, BenjaminStony, Luke Jones, Lauren Tomlinson, Rashieka Teona, and Kyle Anderson.

Toronto’s heavy hitter DJ Blkluos is working hard to give the world new continue. Still keeping Heartbreak Quotey’s name alive, he has a lot more in the tank to deliver. One of his latest releases is the visual for his 2020 single, “Changes“.

The video finds DJ Blkluos getting into some bars as he makes various observations, and shares his thoughts over some dark Trap production provided by JXYMEFROMTHENINE. “Changes” was released as a part of a 3 pack in 2020 that included “I Thought About It“, and “Dead People“. The Sister Nancy Sampled “Baila Conmigo” Single Gets Featured In New @Instagram Campaign!

They say Dancehall caan stall, and it continues to seep into Pop Culture, and many other avenues. In 2020, the legendary Sister Nancy’s classic “Bam Bam” was sampled in DJ Yellow Claw’s hit single “Baila Conmigo” featuring Saweetie, INNA, and Jenn Morel, and today it got featured in Social Media platform Instagram’s latest campaign!

Doing their part in providing informative content during the Covid 19 Pandemic, Instagram’s latest campaign, the Sister Nancy sampled “Baila Conmigo” by Yellow Claw was used as the campaign’s soundtrack. The animated visual also featured a dancer sporting clothes which represented Jamaica’s flag colours of Black, Gold, and Green. Sister Nancy’s “Bam Bam” was released in 1982, and is considered one of the most sampled Jamaican songs in music history. Kxng Izem has been grinding and building his brand for quite some time. Having celebrated a “Dubby’s” win and gaining much attention through his recent singles, he looks to take his Ten24 Music label to a different level. He looks to make that happen and more with his much anticipated project, the “Wildfire EP”.

Consisting of 8 tracks, Kxng Izem shows much growth on this project, and tests out new sounds and flows here. With production from his Ten24 Music, he also taps into Kabu Beats, Harry Hunt, and Rory De Boer to give listeners future classics, and feel good vibes that take us away from the problems of the world.
