OLDIES SUNDAY: Thriller Prince – Teach The Children (1996)

The Month of May is recognized as “Child’s Month“, and on “Oldies Sunday“, we feature content that highlights former Child Stars in Caribbean music, or music that supported the children. For today’s selection, we look back at Thriller Prince’sTeach The Children“.

Produced by Richard Bell on the “Baltimore Riddim“, “Teach The Children” was released through the Star Trail label in 1996. The song finds Thriller Prince spreading the message of good parenting, emphasizing raising children in the right way, guiding them to live fulfilling lives, and trodding on the right paths. Thriller melodically delivers over the solid production, and the messages shared are still relevant today. The song gained attention locally and parts of the world, and is a solid one on the “Baltimore Riddim”.

Since the release of “Teach The Children”, Thriller Prince continued to be an active Artist. Under a new alias Izeezi, he continued to release more music, and was recently a part of some performance events in parts of Jamaica. “Teach The Children” is still recognized by some.

Thank You Thriller Prince For This Tune.

.@SarinaDesir Is Looking For The One In “What U Didn’t Know”

Tensions may be rising, but we’re enjoying new music over here. Get familiar with Sarina Désir, a Haitian-American Singer based in Maryland who has been steadily emerging with her sound that consists of R&B, Pop, and Hip Hop Music. Recently, she released her new EP, “What U Didn’t Know“, and she now keeps the ball rolling with the title track.

Produced by Cherry Beatz, Sarina is looking for “the one” in “What U Didn’t Know“. Over thumping production, Sarina gets melodic as she shares the requirements when it comes to finding a partner. In a time where selfishness and deception are rampant, she seeks to give and receive unconditional love, find someone not so typical, and a connection that is more than physical. “What U Didn’t Know” gives off great energy that is bound to have listeners dancing and singing alone, and may just be an instant favourite for some. The track is a part of the Singer’s 6-track EP that is filled with even more goodness, and we urge you to get familiar with her.

Success Is The Motivator For @BlvkH3ro’s “Mansa Musa”

In life, many of us aspire for success. While the type of success is subjective, the end goal is to do and live better than before. Some wish for generational wealth, others want to just get out of the impoverished area to live in a nicer neighbourhood. For Recording Artist Blvk H3ro, he wants to be rich like “Mansa Musa“.

Produced by Elite Generation Records, Blvk H3ro is hustling everyday in “Mansa Musa”. For those unaware, Mansa Musa (“Mansa” means “King” in Maninka) was a ruler in the Mali Empire who was considered the richest man who ever lived. Mansa Musa inspired many including H3ro, to attain great wealth in their respective paths. Driven by that, H3ro shares that he’ll make the necessary moves to earn the paper, take care of business, and inspire the youth to do the same. Blvk H3ro has been busy sharing his music with new and old listeners in the US in the past year, and looks to venture into more foreign lands, and tap into new sounds. Is there $500 Billion in your future? Make that move.
