The Love Goes Bad In Jeff Fullyauto’s “So What?”

While today’s a day of love, some of us are not experiencing it. Some of us are dealing with terrible partners, unhappy unions, uncertainties, and loneliness. Dancehall Artist Jeff Fullyauto has his share of love, but he is currently dealing with a case of love gone cold. He speaks about it in “So What?“.

Directed by JV Cinematic, Jeff Fullyauto deals with things going bad with a partner. Over production by ProdByJV and Wai Fuzion Records, he reflects on the times when things were good with her, his aspirations/plans for their union, and seeing and loving her in a different light. The video sheds light on a couple who has drifted apart, and despite Jeff being confined to a Wheelchair in the video, his partner despises him, and she does not so kind things to him. It’s a sad day when the love goes cold. Many will relate to “So What?”, long after today’s festivities.

.@ItsTheTifa Deals With Hypocrites In “Doh Real” Single

Badmind and hypocrisy are things we at times can’t escape. They are present in families, they are present in friends, they are present in some people who we thought were of strong character. Life does get challenging when this happens, but Dancehall Artist Tifa has a way of handling these type of people. She gets into attack mode in the video for the new single, “Doh Real“.

Directed by Christopher Facey, Tifa confronts one of her badminded friends in “Doh Real”. The Celtic 222-produced track finds the Deejay calling out those who hate on her, pretend to be her friend but are really backstabbers, and those who carry her personal business to the public. She doesn’t do it alone, and she brings reinforcements in with their own weapons ready to handle things. There’s nothing worse than someone who has wronged you after being there for them in most ways possible. When they can’t be dealt with one way, Karma comes around to fix things. Tifa will overcome her foes and make great progress this year, so stay tuned for more from her. Tell badmind fi gweh!

Minto Play Da Riddim, Warrior, Charly Black To Release “Oxtail (Extra Gravy)”

2024 looks to be a year of big hits, and Producers Minto Play Da Riddim and Warrior want to be a part of it all. The Producers made great strides last year in their respective fields with Minto officially tapping into the Afrobeats scene, and Warrior bringing his WMG Sound to more people locally, and internationally. They have teamed up a number of times over the years, resulting in a number of hits. Their recent team up included International Dancehall Artist Charly Black, who had a great 2023 that consisted of standout international performances and fiery singles. Together, they present their new single “Oxtail (Extra Gravy)”, and are confident that it will be one of this year’s top bangers.

“Oxtail (Extra Gravy)” is the latest single for the ladies brought to you by Minto Play Da Riddim, Warrior, and Charly Black. Powered by an Afrobeats sound and Dancehall vibes, the track looks to connect with the ladies in a major way, making for a hit that will take over the clubs, spark dance and social media challenges, and rattle speakers around the world. The theme of love is present on the track as Black enjoys the love of his lady “like Oxtail with extra gravy”, a play on the ways many couples profess their love for one another. The track promises to be a mainstay on Valentine’s Day-themed playlists, and be an important entry in love compilations for the rest of the year. As a part of the roll out, the track was exclusively premiered at an event in Trinidad recently, and was well-received immediately. A music video for “Oxtail (Extra Gravy)” is in its development stages along with plans for further promotion of the single.

Get ready for the love vibes like no other when “Oxtail (Extra Gravy)” by Minto Play Da Riddim, Warrior, and Charly Black goes live on February 16 on all digital music streaming platforms.

Sonya Spence’s “Let Love Flow On” Featured In “American Fiction” Film

It’s awards season, and if you’re in Music or Film, chances are you’re one of the people who is a part of an award-nominated creation. One award show many look forward to is the 96th Academy Awards. One of the Films up for a few awards is “American Fiction“. “American Fiction” stars Jeffrey Wright, Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, and Sterling K. Brown, and it focuses on a Novelist/Professor named Thelonious “Monk” Ellison (Wright) who out of frustration, wrote a satirical book on stereotypical Black people, that turned out becoming a success which has good and bad outcomes. The Film was released in December 2023 in Theatres, but was made available digitally on February 6. The Film features a selection of music that was played throughout, but in an important scene, a song from Jamaica was the soundtrack.

During a Wedding scene in “American Fiction”, “Let The Love Flow On” by the late Sonya Spence was featured. Produced by Sonia Pottinger and released through High Note Records in 1981, “Let Love Flow On” was a Reggae/Funk/Soul single that got Spence’s name out there. Sonya Spence was an Artist on the rise in the 1970s and 1980s, but her career was sidelined numerous times through a number of ways (You can see our Women’s History Month write up on her and this single here). (Editor’s note: I was happy and saddened by Sonya Spence’s song’s inclusion in the Film. Many Creatives worked hard for moments like these, but some of them never made it this far because they were robbed of it. Her story is truly a sad one. May she rest in peace.)

American Fiction” is out now on your favourite movie streaming platforms. Will it secure any of the big awards? Stay tuned.
