PICS: @PayAttentionJA – Saturday June 8, 2013 at @SouthBeachCafeJ

On Saturday June 8, 2013, New Kingston’s Club Indulge (Upstairs South Beach Cafe) was treated to a showcase of Jamaican Hip Hop, this show was called Pay Attention. Hosted by The Sickest Drama (TSD), we got t o witness performances by some of Jamaica’s best talent. Performers included TMO, Gully Cash, Sly Rankin, and Acmatic. The show had a slightly late start thanks to “Jamaican Time” but some old school hip hop hits played by Fatalic Sounds held our attention until showtime. The Sickest Drama held his own as the host for the night with his random freestyles, but not in any way taking away from the main performances.

ShellyAnnFraser

Being a star athlete has many benefits but when the popularity dies down or an injury ends the career what can they do to stay afloat? Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce had a chat with Winford Williams about this and more. Here she spoke about her newest business venture which consists of selling hair extensions. She also spoke about the process in getting the hair extensions, styling herself, creating jobs, scheduling her life, her life outside of athletics and giving back to Jamaica in many ways. Great Interview with the track star, apart from her many ventures she lives a pretty normal life. Looking forward to more from her in the future. What you think? NEW VIDEO: OnstageTV Interviews @IAmKhago

Khagoonstage

After making headlines recently, Khago was the next artist to make it onto the Onstage set. Here he spoke about his sister who called him out publicly with negative remarks, the negative energy he has received recently, his recent performances, Beenie Man showing him love and helping him out in his career, his issues with management, his album and future projects. Interesting Interview by the artist, he sure spoke his mind on his struggles before making it big, management and providing for his mom. NEW VIDEO: @RickeyTeetz – Tip Yuh

Rickeyteetz

Today’s new music video comes from deejay Rickey Teetz. Titled “Tip Yuh” and directed by Darshan Lindo, we see Teetz entering a store to get some fresh gear when he came across the cashier who reminded him of a girl he met before. The next scene shows him remembering having a wild time at a club surrounded by dancing beauties and lots of money being thrown. Throughout the video it was revealed that the lady he met at the store was a girl he tipped for her dancing at the club. In the end he snapped out of his reminiscing to pay for his gear and leave her a tip. Not a bad effort from the deejay as his song created a reasonable amount of buzz. Have you tipped someone today? What you think? Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

Mixtape Movements: @LornavBennett – This Is Lorna (Mixed By @IamYaadcore)

In celebration of Reggae singer (and Protoje’s mom) Lorna Bennett’s birthday, she released the “mixtape” version of her debut album. Titled “This Is Lorna” and mixed by Rory Yaadcore, this album included her single “Breakfast In Bed” which made her the first female artist to top the Jamaica singles chart for five consecutive weeks. For many who are familiar with her work can reminisce on her hits and new listeners can be educated (and see who Protoje got his talent from). Wonderful listen from a great artist. Happy Birthday Ms. Bennett! Check out the album below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW MUSIC: @TifaMusic – Lyrically Educated

Today’s new music comes from the Dancehall diva Tifa. Titled “Lyrically Educated” and produced by ZJ Chrome on the “Decibels” Riddim, we hear Tifa dropping enough bombs to take out a whole village and a flow that keeps her competition very frustrated. Very dope single from the diva, never been one to stick to one subject, she ensures she dominated this ZJ Chrome production. What do you think of the single? Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
