Since the late 2010s, King Cruff has been putting in the work to get his name out there as a Recording Artist. Formerly known as Solyd Roy, he has tapped into Dancehall, Reggae, Afrobeats, Pop, and Hip Hop sounds to create music that you need to hear. He has found some success in the 2020s, and he has a lot more to do. With his name being a part of the Tuff Gong roster, the world will have no choice but to get familiar. To get you started, we have created a Short Film where you can get familiar with King Cruff. Get to know about his beginnings, his background, get familiar with his music, and more as we’re currently in the “Cruff SZN“.

Along with the release of his latest single “LINGO” featuring Solo YT, “King Cruff: A Short Film” is a welcomed addition to your content consumption. Shot in Kingston at the Bob Marley Museum, we caught up with King Cruff ahead of his performance at the birthday celebration for the late Jo Mersa Marley at Reggaeland in Nine Miles, St. Ann. King Cruff returns with new tings! After stepping out with “FallBack” recently with Runkus, he has been busy doing promotional runs, taking over stages, and building his brand. We chopped it up with him recently (now available here), and he shared that it’s “Cruff SZN“, and we’ll be getting plenty content throughout the year. Today’s a new day in “Cruff SZN”, and the new track is called, “LINGO“.

Produced by Aditya Eswar and featuring Nigerian-Canadian Artist Solo YT, King Cruff is aiming for the ladies with “LINGO”. Everybody needs somebody, but they have to come correct because there won’t be any begging for time, tolerance for bad energy, and no time to be treated like an option. In other words, we have to speak to same language, so let’s talk in our lingo. King Cruff delivers his message in a great way over Afrobeats-inspired production, and Solo YT steps in with a style that greatly compliments the track. Expect “LINGO” to find its way into plenty speakers in the coming days, and may just be an early contender for a Summer 2024 hit. Another Tuff Gong Collective release! When it comes to music, the listener will connect with whatever message is presented from it. The Caribbean has birthed a number of Artists whose music promoted various messages, touching lives around the world. Haitian-Canadian Artist RJ The Mysterious looks to spread messages of peace, positivity, and good living. Like his new video, he wants to make an “Impacter“.

The new video for “Impacter” (French for “Impact”) was directed by Marc Fabrice Mesidor for One Vizion Films, and it finds RJ The Mysterious providing the messages that the people need to hear. Regardless of the language it’s presented in, the “Disciple Of Christ” will connect with the right people. “Impacter” is featured on RJ’s latest EP, “Domination“, which has been making its rounds since its release recently. Armed with strong faith, sharp focus, and blessings, expect RJ The Mysterious to cover more ground with his music, and really make an impact. Tout glwa pou bondye.

Canada-based DJ Blkluos continues to take his Production to new levels, and aligning with various names in the process. He has maintained a significant presence over the years, and his catalogue continues to grow. Recently, he tapped in with American-Jamaican Hip Hop Artist DeemRaw for the new single, “How I’m Built“.

Featuring Trap-inspired Production by DJ Blkluos, DeemRaw takes the spotlight in letting the world know that he’s cut from a different cloth, and what he’s about will make him one to align with, or make a worthy adversary. Regardless, he keeps his circle small, and he is ready for what ever is about to happen next. The single is accompanied by a music video directed by BlvckFaceRD, and shot in the Dominican Republic where DeemRaw performs the track. DeemRaw has been on the scene for a number of years, and looks to expand his presence in more territories around the world. She gets her own, she run things, and doesn’t need anything but to be loved. She’s a Dancehall Queen, and the floor is hers when her song is on. Dancehall Artist Kraff continues to keep his production line busy, and he is covering more ground with his live performances. The “1 Buduchop” boss recently released the visual for the track, “Julius Caesar“.

Shot in Canada and directed by The Knemesis, Kraff belts out lyrics like a mad poet on “Julius Caesar”. Over production by Droptop Records, he makes bold statements, reflects on his rise, and puts the pieces together that will make him a greater Artist over time. A clean visual to support the track, and Kraff is looking to keep things more interesting as the year progresses. He was a part of a small feud recently, but that won’t get in the way of his mission.
