Arguably the most talked about artiste in dancehall, Gully Bop has taken over new territory. The entertainer continues his invasion of the United Kingdom with his fourth sold-out show, held in Birmingham over the weekend. He is relishing in a publicity blitz, surfacing from radio and TV interviews connected with his first promotional tour. To top it off, he has recorded a contagious track with one of England’s leading dancehall artiste, Stylo G.
“Right now me feel good, how me come a England and them just embrace me. Big big BBC radio a play Gully Bop non-stop and invite me in them studio. Me a get support at every show, every one of them pack! People swarm me like bees fe take picture everywhere me go. Is a thousand things and more a go on right now, so me have to give God thanks,” Gully Bop explained.
“Who She Want” is the title of the hit-bound release recorded with Stylo G. The song is entertaining, upbeat and pokes fun at both artistes. The producers are Star Traxx and Adde. Immediately upon release the brand-new song has seized high rotation on British radio.
Gully Bop will wrap the U.K. leg of this tour on Sunday, March 29th. His closing performance will be at the Electric Brixton. Bop will then proceed to his debut performances in Grenada, Guyana, The Cayman Islands, Barbados and other Caribbean countries.
Known for creating slang, dances and hit songs, Chi Ching Ching stays on the airwaves and in playlists. Tonight on Onstage he spoke on a few things. Here he spoke on the origin of his single “Way Up” and its success so far, the Hip Hop world using the slang “Way Up, Stay Up“, dancing, upcoming music, “Watchi Wiya” and more.
