Zac Jone$ has been putting in the work over the years. Having enjoyed the success of the 2019 single “Miss Jamaica” featuring Agent Sasco, he is on his way to making a lot more things happen. Earlier this year he gave the world the bubbling single, “Lonely“, now he follows up with the visual.

Directed by Jesse Suchomel and starring Kadiya McDonald as the love interest, Zac Jone$ deals with matters of the heart over an iotosh production. The video highlights Zac and Kadiya working on getting closer while Zac shares how various factors can affect what can become a promising relationship. The events of the past can make one feel lonely even in a situation, but with the right words of encouragement, they can be put aside to embrace a lovely future. The video is beautifully presented, and features appearances by Sheen, BenjaminStony, Luke Jones, Lauren Tomlinson, Rashieka Teona, and Kyle Anderson.

Toronto’s heavy hitter DJ Blkluos is working hard to give the world new continue. Still keeping Heartbreak Quotey’s name alive, he has a lot more in the tank to deliver. One of his latest releases is the visual for his 2020 single, “Changes“.

The video finds DJ Blkluos getting into some bars as he makes various observations, and shares his thoughts over some dark Trap production provided by JXYMEFROMTHENINE. “Changes” was released as a part of a 3 pack in 2020 that included “I Thought About It“, and “Dead People“. Jamaica’s music culture continues to seep into all forms of Pop Culture. No matter the year, expect to find music and some of our favourite artists in TV shows, Films, and Commercials. The legendary iNi Kamoze is no stranger to this, but recently his classic “Here Comes The Hot Stepper” was featured in the latest episode of “Family Guy“.

On episode 13 of Family Guy’s 19th season, iNi Kamoze’sHot Stepper” was given quite the feature. From being performed by Peter Griffin (voiced by Seth McFarlane), to the actual song being used in another scene, expect the Jamaican flags to pop up around the world when it played. Produced by US Producer Salaam Remi (Remix version) and the late Jamaican Producer “Fatis” Burrell (Original) and released in 1994, this is iNi Kamoze’s biggest hit, and has been featured in Commercials for JC Penney, and has been sampled by Nicky Jam, Dr. Dre, and many others.

On February 17, 2021, the world lost a legend, the great Ewart “U-Roy” Beckford. A man who is the Daddy, the Father, the King, and the Originator of what you know as toasting/deejaying/rapping, he has left behind a great legacy for many others to follow and be inspired by. He may be gone physically, but we know he’s gearing up to nice up every session in the afterlife. Today, we pay tribute to his greatness with the “Sampling U-RoyPlaylist!

The “Sampling U-Roy” Playlist features some of his classics, and some of the tracks that sampled them. With artists like Dennis Brown, Def Jef, IDK, Dawn Penn, and Talib Kweli borrowing from the great Daddy U-Roy, you’re in for an enjoyable and informative listen. Trini artist FVRFVN is looking to return to music with a bang after taking some time off last year. With production being a welcome addition to his songwriting skillset, he is working on becoming one of the more prominent names in his Island, and soon the rest of the world. Kicking off his 2021, he releases the new track, “Lonely Road“.

FVRFVN showcases his production skills on this as he collaborates with Trini artist Khal-XL. Together they share lyrics about the battles they’ve faced in life, running away from the internal demons, but show that they’re handling it step by step. The Covid 19 pandemic has brought on situations that affect us mentally, and while we’re on a lonely road with them, we just have to do our best to move forward on the road to recovery. FVRFVN looks to follow up “Lonely Road” with more music this year, and he anticipates the addition of new listeners from around the globe. Hang in there, stay strong, and stay safe!

Dropping some Hip Hop vibes courtesy of Chase Soundz today. The HTG Rapper worked on his consistency throughout 2020, and is looking to step it up even more thanks to a bunch of new music he has in the stash. Today we get to check out his latest track, “Feel This“.

Produced by Lethal Needle and featuring Five Steez, the two get into some Boom Bap vibes as they kick bars and flows over some easy going Jazz influenced production. The track marks the 2nd time a member of The Council and HTG collaborate on a track together. The first effort came from Daley and Five Steez’s “All I Know” back in 2020. If all you know is to chase sounds and money, but still ensure your steez is right, then you have to feel this track!
