Trini Artist Boy Boy has been one of the big names in the “Trinibad” movement for quite some time, and he looks to become a bigger name on a global level. With a number of hits in his catalogue, he brings a style and persona that quickly gained him a following. All about making big moves, he recently released the visual for the track, “Bufu“.

Directed by Romael, “Bufu” finds Boy Boy bringing some aggression. Shot in New York, the Artist rolls through the city with his crew, and makes it clear that he’s ready for whatever if the Opps think they have the upper hand. The single was produced by The FaNaTiX and released through 23 Formation, and it features some NY Drill sounds that fit well with Boy Boy’s in your face lyrics. The current wave of Trinibad Artists continue to make noise around and outside the Caribbean, and we can expect even more from Boy Boy later this year.

Trinidad-based Artist 1K StayActive continues to keep the streams busy with new music! With a year that saw him grow his reach and even got endorsed by a few prominent names, the upcoming Artist is working on his consistency, and releasing the right music that will catch more ears. Recently, 1K released the track, “Bringing It Back“.

Produced by OJG and featuring a sample of “Bumpy’s Lament” by Soul Mann & the Brothers, 1K StayActive gets into “trap mode” as he’s on a mission to elevate himself and others around him, and secure all the bags that come his way. Over a Drill-influenced production, 1K effortlessly flows and showcases why you need to pay attention to him. 1K is currently working on more music to be released by the end of the year, and is finalizing original content and a possible project for everyone to add to their collection. Sad One Is Not The One To Ramp With In “Underground” Video

Hip Hop and Dancehall are just two genres that will never leave each other out. No matter how many changes they go through, there will be creators that will blend them together to make great music. Since the advent of the UK, Chicago, and New York “Drill” movements, many artists have been utilizing the new sounds, and making hits of their own. One of the latest artists to do so is Jamaican Rapper Sad One with the track, “Underground“.

With a video directed by Sad One, FaceXpression, and Teshaun Williams, viewers will find Sad One playing the role of a Gangster Boss as a character played by Social Media personality Cuz reaches out to him and airs out his troubles. Sad One then makes the necessary moves to rectify Cuz’s situation, and viewers will see that Sad One is not the person to ramp with. Keep an eye out for Sad One, we believe you’ll be hearing a lot more from him in coming months.

Junior Reid is not only a Reggae legend, he’s also a Hip Hop legend when you think about it. He has enjoyed a run in the last 15+ years that saw him being the go to artist for hooks and verses on tracks by Fabolous, The Game, MIMS, Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne and more. While he still stays true to his Reggae roots, he tackles the emerging NY Drill movement on, “Bag Alert“.

Released through Massive B and produced by Bobby Konders, Junior Reid gets to the money with fellow artists Chedda Boss and Scrilla in an exhibition of the OG keeping up with the young boys, without missing his steps. Don’t expect to hear Junior Reid rapping here, he gives us that pure delivery that gave him so many hits over the years. With a 40+ year career, it’s still good that he can embrace the new generations of artists. R.I.P. Pop Smoke, and free Bobby Shmurda!
