It has been close to a decade since Dancehall Artist Rygin King scored big with “Tuff“, but it has been well over a decade since he stepped on the scene. The years have seen his ups and downs, his triumphs, and his stumbles, but he continues to show his strength daily. This strength doesn’t just happen, and with every new day comes a challenge. Still determined, King motivates many with his music, and is still putting in the work. Earlier, he premiered, “Rain“.

Directed by DirectorBadz, “Rain” gives us a look into Rygin King’s life as he speaks on overcoming situations to become a success story, reflecting on the days where he had nothing, counts his blessings, sees the other side of success, and drives away naysayers who wish to spread doubt on his path to greatness. “Rain” was produced by Rygin Trap Records/4FortyFour Atelier, and is an addition to a solid catalogue that shows the Deejay at some of his best, and when he’s at his most vulnerable. One of the more respected voices that is sometimes underrated is kicking things off with a different energy. Get ready to “Swaay“!

Taking on the DJ Mac/Crash Dummy-produced “WYFL Riddim“, Qraig Voicemail is getting everyone to “Swaay”. With a video directed by BadGee/KyloMadeIt, Qraig is joined by a few Dancers, and proceeds to teach us how to “Swaay”. Dancehall Artist Agent Sasco celebrates a couple decades in music, and he has accomplished a lot. From a young “Assassin” who won over many with his lyrical prowess, to “Agent Sasco” who has matured to an all-around Artist, he has ensured he has a place in Jamaican music, and built a structure that takes care of his family for years to come. Put it this way like his new video, he made it from “Nothing To Something“.

Directed by Prajahpahii Duksah, Agent Sasco takes us to the construction site in the video for the Skatta Burrell/Big Win Music-produced, “Nothing To Something”. We are witnessing a Man who expanded his brand and business to Construction, and gives a quick shout out to “Mulberry Valley Estate“, his Eco Sanctuary in St. Mary, while providing motivation for the listener. The video features Social Media Personality/Actress Mellietime, who takes on the role of overseeing the construction going on while reminiscing on days when her Parents worked to provide for her. There’s nothing like a child giving back to her family who sacrificed for her well-being, and we see this story unfold in the end. Sasco may not always be in the “Crown” conversations, but those who respect authentic lyricism hold him in high regard. Stay focused!

Produced by Notnice and featuring Nordia Mothersille, Jah Vinci leaves his enemies to “Karma” on the new single. The Artists send middle fingers to those who have deceived them, and they continue to move in the direction that leads them to prosperity. The single is accompanied by a music video directed by Shane Creative, and the Artists get together for messages that people need today. Sometimes we don’t have to retaliate, we just leave people to time, because time is the master, and what goes up, must come down. On January 18, the legendary Musician Stephen “Cat” Coore, co-founder of Third World, passed away. Fans, family, and peers mourn this loss, and tributes are pouring in from around the world. A brilliant Musician, Coore knew how to reel in listeners with his sound, and when he takes the stage, it’s all about his performances. On “Oldies Sunday“, we pay tribute to him with the selection, “Jah Sun You Rise“.

Released through MiDehYa in 1997 and featuring Kiddus I, it was appreciation for the Creator, and one of the greatest creations being the Sun in, “Jah Sun You Rise”. Paired with great Instrumentation, we hear of the greatness of the Sun in contributing to life, guiding one’s path, and its radiance in times of darkness. The song also calls for the Sun to lead people to the right path, put light into the hearts of people who need it, and help to make the world a better place. “Jah Sun You Rise” was featured on Cat Coore’s 1997 debut album, “Uptown Rebel“, and was well-received by fans of his Musicianship, and of Third World.

Since the release of “Jah Sun You Rise”, Cat Coore continued to release a few singles, but being onstage with his Third World brethren found him displaying even more of his skillset. His musical legacy will be carried on by his family, and his name lives on in the hearts of many.
