VBWith news of her boss given a prison sentence, and her upcoming trial, Vawnessa Bling stepped in a new direction and asked for “Mercy” on Onstage tonight. Here she spoke on how Vybz Kartel’s sentence affected her, being raised in the church and continuing to be a part of it, her new single “Mercy On Me Lord” and the feedback she has been getting for it, separating “Gaza Slim” from “Vawnessa Bling“, and handling all her music business on her own. Blign also premiered the music video for “Mercy On Me Lord“. With her trial coming in August, I do hope things will work out and we can hear more of “Vawnessa Bling“. It’s only natural when an offspring of an entertainer wants to follow in their parents’ footsteps. On Onstage over the weekend, Marco Dean, son of D’Angel and Beenie Man joined his mom on Onstage to speak on his plans for Mother’s Day. Here the 8 year old spoke about School, making something for his mother for Mother’s Day, not wanting to follow the footsteps of his mom and dad, and being an active kid. D’Angel also spoke about her career, enjoying her son’s growth, being a “Momtrepreneur“, closing down her clothing business to focus on her career and motherhood, being an actress and her upcoming film, and future plans. This was a hilarious interview as Marco Dean is just being a kid here, it’s good to know that Beenie and D’Angel are working hard to be loving and supporting parents. CMWith the news of legal issues affecting many Jamaican artists, many have either spent time in jail or have had their belongings confiscated. One of the artists to be affected with legal issues is singer Christopher Martin. Tonight on Onstage he explained his ordeal, cleared up rumors, declared his innocence, working out with Usain Bolt, and working on upcoming musical projects including his album “Stepping Razor“. While it’s unfortunate that many entertainers are going through troubles, it’s good that Chris has stepped onto public domain to clear up things. It can only get better.
