Born Carlton Hylton, Ghost has been one of the most unique voices in Jamaican music. His raspy delivery has secured hits not only for himself, but his Monster Shack Crew members, and various Artists over the years. His knack for covering popular R&B and Pop songs have made him a legend, and the respect from even some of the Artists he covered. When there’s a day or season of love, expect a song or few from Ghost to be a part of the soundtrack. It’s Boxing Day, but today’s entry has nothing to do with putting away holiday decorations, nor the sport of Boxing. 2023 gave us a number of Artists who have made great impressions, and secured a few hits along the way. There were plenty to be familiar with, but Dancehall Artists Pablo YG and Najeeriii have made themselves two of the biggest names out. We highlight them as 2023’s “Rookies Of The Year” in our latest Playlist.

Featuring 50 tracks, we highlight some of the releases and hits of 2023 from Pablo YG and Najeeriii. The Artists enjoyed viral success, street fame, International recognition, and secured a number of bookings in what can be described as their breakthrough year. If you haven’t been familiar with their music, let this Playlist be the starting point. Pablo YG combines melodies along with lyrics about the fast life, and they have quickly increased his presence, and fanbase. Najeeriii displays a unique style paired with complex rhymes that has listeners decoding every bar, making him a standout. Together they have proved that Trap/Chop Dancehall is here for a while, and they have the skillset that will make them bigger stars. They still a lot more work to do, but we look forward to seeing what they will do come 2024.

450 has been enjoying a respectable run in the Dancehall scene as his music has been doing well on streaming platforms, gone viral on popular Social Media platforms, and videos that have accumulated millions of views. Tommy Lee Sparta took over Dancehall with his darkness, and Sparta Badness. A hitmaker and a controversial individual, he is recognized the world over, and continues to influence many. Today we celebrate not only his birthday, but his contributions to the music scene with our latest Playlist titled, “The Guzu Playlist“.

For over 7 1/2 hours, get your ears ready for a collection of some of Tommy Lee Sparta’s most recognized singles, hits, collaborations, and stand out tracks. The Sparta Boss who started out as a member of Vybz Kartel’s Portmore Empire, has come a long way, and has a sizable catalogue that is pretty valuable. A few years ago, we celebrated the late “King Of Pop” Michael Jackson by highlighting some of the popular Jamaican songs that covered his classics. Michael Jackson had and still has a strong musical influence on Jamaica, and tributes are made to him in various ways. Today, we present to you a special Playlist highlighting a few more covers called, “Jamaica Sings Michael Jackson!“.

Consisting of 20 tracks, we have a selection of Artists who all shared a love for Michael Jackson and his music, and they paid tribute to him in their own way. Digital music streaming giant Audiomack continues to set trends when it comes to highlighting quality music, and showcasing talented creators from around the world. They look to expand their dominance with the launch of their new Playlist series, “Made In Caribbean”.

Top selectors from the Caribbean including Jamaica’s Boom Boom, DJ Spade from Turks & Caicos, Trinidad’s DJ Echo, Rusty G from Bermuda, and TroopahLive From the Virgin Islands, Guyana’s PriinceMuzik, DJ Quest from Antigua, and Haiti’s Michael Brun have been recruited, and are gearing up to launch their respective Playlists featuring their handpicked Artists.
