YG Marley Shares Visual For Viral Hit, “Praise Jah In The Moonlight”

2024 is the year of the Marley. Bob Marley’s biopic “One Love” hit Theatres and did numbers, Julian Marley won a GRAMMY, The Marley Brothers announced a tour, Sharon Marley returned to music, and the Grandchildren of Bob Marley including King Cruff and YG Marley released music, and gained global recognition. YG Marley has been doing well for himself, his “Praise Jah In The Moonlight“, despite mixed criticism, has earned him over a billion streams, and has taken him as far the recently-held Coachella to perform it beside his Mother, Miss Lauryn Hill. The song has done a lot, and continues to make waves on Social Media, and YG adds more life to it with the release of the official Music Video.

Directed by Cole Bennett of Lyrical Lemonade, YG Marley brought the energy of the song to Jamaica with the official visual for “Praise Jah In The Moonlight”. YG takes to the streets, where he proceeds to bring light and love to various communities and individuals by offering flowers, and channels his positive energy to others. The visual also finds him surrounded by Singers in a garden (shout out Yanah who has a cameo appearance), as he performs his hit that aims to climb higher in the music scene. The video features appearances by his Marley family, Kabaka Pyramid, Jesse Royal, and Miss Lauryn Hill. Speaking on Miss Hill, we look forward to the remix of “Praise Jah” with her lyrics. Some Women have that aurora. Some Women have that special thing about them that attracts Men to them like flies to Honey. Those Women stand out in a crowd, and they can be dangerous if not treated well. Trini Artist/Creative Sarkastik Ambassador has met a few of those Women in his lifetime, but this one is different. He shares his adventure in the new Short Film for his new single, “Siren“.

Produced by Dechode Mode, “Siren” is Sarkastik Ambassador’s new single about a Woman who whose pull is stronger than a magnet, and has him wanting to fulfill all her desires. A Woman like that will have him under her spell for life. The track was produced by  The Short Film, which was co-directed by Jerel Ramsey (Sark) and Renaldo Matamoro, continues off from Sark’s “Release Me” visual where he was seen in a Forest, finds him being drawn to a body of water, and be in awe when a beautiful Woman emerges out of it, and pulls him in. What happens next is for you to find out by watching. Sarkastik Ambassador has always looked outside of the box when it comes to his visual content, and “Siren” sets the tone for future video productions that will captivate the audience.

Janeel Mills Covers An Amy Winehouse Classic In “Johnny”

Jamaican Songbird Janeel Mills has been blessing the world with her voice, and gracing stages for a number of years. She has worked with some of your favourite Artists, and special moments are made instantly when she sings her first note. Recently, she tapped into one of her musical inspirations for a track called, “Johnny“.

Produced by Makiri Whyte, Janeel Mills channels the late Amy Winehouse in “Johnny”. Covering the 2007 hit single “Valerie“, Mills gives us a different perspective with her cover as she speaks of a Man she loves. “Valerie” was originally recorded by English Indie Rock Band The Zutons in 2006, but was covered the same year by Winehouse, and released in 2007 as a collaboration with Producer Mark Ronson. The song went on to go 3x Platinum. Mills not only does the cover justice, but give it a Reggae feel from its original Pop/Jazz sound. Accompanying the track is a Music Video directed by Ifidel Williams, and it finds Janeel reminiscing on the good times with her lover, in between solo performances of the track. Tune in to something that will bring some calm your way. R.I.P. Amy Winehouse.

Trini Recording Artist Roy Simmons returns with something for your ears. He has been staying busy since his last release in 2022, and waiting for the right time to bring them into the light. Thankfully, he was included on the recently released “The Good Things Riddim” with the single, “Fallin’“.

Produced by Kedon Charles, Roy Simmons shares why getting caught up with him can be a bad thing in “Fallin'”. Simmons shares that while you may have a few amazing moments with him, it’s not permanent, so don’t start planning your life with him. He understands that he has an effect on the ladies, but what they’re experiencing with him is not love. He’s not taking responsibility for your misguided thoughts and actions, just keep it moving. Kedon Charles’ new Riddim also features other prominent Artists, and has been gaining a lot of attention since its release. Expect more from Roy Simmons later this year.

This post is dedicated to a Mother, a sister, a very unique talent, and a friend. She was born Shaneika Martin, but the music scene first knew her as “Shie“, then later on, Rhiya Luna. We lost this dear individual on March 2 after a long battle with Illness, and it has really left a dark cloud over many who received the news. She was a longtime friend and supporter of this platform, and she was destined to do great things. It’s never easy when you lose a loved one, and one can only keep their memory alive through previous interactions, and their works and hobbies. Today, we pay tribute to Rhiya Luna with a tribute Playlist titled, “Long Live Rhiya Luna“.

For over an hour, listeners can tune in to some of the tracks that Rhiya Luna shared with the world over the years. From Dancehall singles, to R&B and Pop-inspired tracks, to songs with positive messages, she was on her way to doing even more, but life had other plans. She got to share the stage with some great talent, and when there were doubts, she was backed by many who truly believed in her and wanted to see her win. She leaves behind a family who will honour her name, and listeners like us will ensure that the people heard her. Long live Rhiya Luna, sleep well my friend ❤️.

She fends off the Women who think they can easily snatch him away, and she’s protecting what’s hers from the watchy watchy girls. In a society where taking another person’s partner is welcomed, and celebrated by some, Mali doesn’t have any time for that, and she will get aggressive.
