In efforts to promote positivity is the collaboration between Nevada based Reggae band Lady Reiko and the Sin City Prophets and Dax Lion. Titled “Yes I”, we see Dax Lion travelling only to come across Lady Reiko and her band members and friends and they gathered to sing, make music and enjoy some “irie” vibes. Very great effort from them and such a great video as well. Lady Reiko and the Sin City Prophets are a team to look out for. Feeling lively? NEW MUSIC: @Jah9 x @Protoje – Legitimate

Today’s new music comes from Jah 9 and Protoje. Titled “Legitimate” and produced by Rory Stone Love, we hear the two Reggae artists dropping conscious lyrics about living life righteously, love, and being positive over a soothing production. This is track 11 off Jah 9’s “New Name” album which has been receiving rave reviews all around. Great song to meditate to. “New Name” is still on iTunes so get it today. NEW VIDEO: @AlaineSinga x @RealiOctane – Lighters Up

Today’s new video comes from Reggae artists I Octane and Alaine. Titled “Lighters Up” and directed by Scorpio 21, we see the two artists side by side singing and promoting positivity. A decent effoert but while the message is a great one I personally would’ve loved to have seen more from this. My idea for this would’ve had shots on top of a tall building overlooking the city, and maybe a community with children. Shine your lighters high! What you think? With positive lyrics and a great message, YVP singer Jahmiel dropped off the visual treatment for his single. Titled “Never Give Up” and directed by Jerome Hyde, we see the singer taking  a trod through communities while singing uplifting lyrics and ending up at Shocking Vibes studio with friends. Good video and song from the young singer, it was cool seeing him singing while sitting on the basketball hoop though. Check the message on the wall. Never give up. What do you think? OLDIES SUNDAY: Tony Rebel – Teach The Children (1994)

In recognition of May being Child’s Month I present to you a hit from a great Reggae act, Tony Rebel. Titled “Teach The Children” which was produced by Bobby Digital (Digital B) and released in 1994, this is message music encouraging good upbringing of children. He speaks on the action of adults being a influence to children along with the saying “If you want a good cow, you better grow a good calf“.  Watch what you say to children, they need guidance and good upbringing.
