.@ChronixxMusic Returns To @FallonTonight To Perform “Cool As The Breeze/Friday”!

Admit it, you still have Chronixx’sCool As The Breeze/Friday” on repeat. You should be as it’s one of the hottest songs out. Chronixx knew what he was doing when he released this track in the summer. Going further with it, he makes his 3rd official appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” with a performance of the track.

Though not sharing the “Fallon Tonight” set, Chronixx performs the track straight from Jamaica accompanied by Evan Mason a.k.a. Evan Keyz, and a “criss” Toyota Corolla! Handling it in one take, Chronixx dazzles, and continues to raise his flag for Jamaican music. Imagine the reception from the crowd if he was to perform this at a stage show? Covid 19 really put a damper on a lot of things. If you missed the launch of “Cool As The Breeze/Friday”, check it out here.

Alicia Keys Chronixx Protoje - Underdog REMIX Jamaica Dancehall Reggae Music Blog 13thStreetPromotions 13thStreetPromo Caribbean Underdog

.@AliciaKeys Calls Up @ChronixxMusic & @Protoje For The “Underdog (Remix)”

Alicia Keys always come through with a motivational song. Having hits since the early 2000s, she has probably done it all. With her “Underdog” single touching many worldwide, it’s only right she did a remix. With Jamaica in mind, she called up Chronixx and Protoje to join her for the “Underdog (Remix)“. Featuring production from Grammy Award winning Producer Izy Beats, and Grammy nominated Producer P2J, the trio join forces and sounds together, and provide the light we need in these seemingly dark times. The world needs a lot of love.

This isn’t Alicia Keys’ first foray into Jamaican collabs, her “You Don’t Know My Name” single was given a Reggae remix, she collaborated with the legendary Junior Reid on the “No One (Remix)“, and who can forget her getting on Cham’sGhetto Story (Chapter 2)“? She has always had a soft spot for Jamaica, and “Underdog (Remix)” may be a sign of a lot more to come. Looks like her cover of Chronixx’s “I Can” made the spark. Nobody can take away your determination!

We Highlight Some Of The Dancehall Artists Who Have Defined The 2010s!

December 31, 2019 marks the last day of the 2010s, and January 1, 2020 will mark the first day of a new decade. It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times, but today we look back at some of Dancehall Artists who have made an impact on the scene. With so many hits and moments, we know lists and faves will vary. Before we start, we want to thank everyone who has given our Blog and Social Media a chance since 2012. We’ve featured so many and have assisted in the careers of plenty, we look forward to doing even more in 2020, and beyond. Let’s get started with our lengthy list.

(Editor’s Note: Everyone’s list is different, so if you have a problem with this one…make your own!)

Vybz Kartel

I mean, what’s a list without the “World Boss“? A man who continued to add fuel to the fire of his musical career, long after making his debut in the early 2000s. With his entrepreneurial side blooming with a Shoe line, Liquor line, Nightclub, Merch, to even Condoms, Vybz was everywhere. He even had a Reality TV series, and kept up with quite a bit of controversy too. Despite him being thrown behind bars in 2011 and facing 35 years soon after, it didn’t stop him from recording music, and releasing singles and albums up to this day. Remember his “Freaky Girl” saga? We know you all have a few Kartel tracks in rotation.

Spice, Jamaica, SpiceOfficial, Music, Blog, Blogger, 13thStreetPromo, 13thStreetPromotions, Dancehall, Deejay, Diva,

Spice

Spice is also an Artist you can’t deny when it comes to this list as well. Spice held it down for the ladies, and showed the men that she can handle her own. With so many bookings, i’m surprised there isn’t a row or an Airline named after her yet. Spice kept the hits coming, and flexed her entrepreneurial muscle as well with her “Spicey Couture” store which started growing since opening in 2009. With the help of Social Media, Spice’s brand got bigger, and took a major turn in 2018 when she was made a cast member on the popular VH1 Reality TV series, “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”. Spice welcomed her share of controversy as well which included relationship issues, and the topic of Colorism. With her career starting in the early 2000s, she kept the fire going like her “World Boss” colleague, and got crowned Queen in the process.

.@ChronixxMusic & @OriginalKoffee Tackle @EdSheeran & @JustinBieber’s “I Don’t Care”!

It nah go nice unless Jamaicans are on it! Recently, Recording Artist Ed Sheeran has been blessing listeners with new music, namely his upcoming “No. 6 Collaborations Project“. One of the tracks that is doing its rounds is his collab with Justin Bieber titled, “I Don’t Care“. Today, Chronixx and Koffee combine their powers to deliver us a remix! While they give us that Dancehall Reggae vibes, Chronixx and Koffee basically own the song as Ed and Justin are left to just give us the chorus. Expect this one to make a lot of noise this summer. If she loves you like Keyshia loves Guwop, then it’s real. While Ed Sheeran and Justin Biber dabbled in a lil Reggae and Dancehall in their careers, we’d love some proper Dancehall/Reggae collaborations in the future, and level the playing field. One complaint I have is, if you’re going to have Jamaicans on a pop track, at least make the Youtube link playable in Jamaica (This is BS).
