Hailing from Barcelona, Spain and based in Kingston, Irie Souljah has been doing his part as a Reggae Artist for a number of years, further strengthening his role as a student of the genre. Recently, he advanced to another level with the release of his new album, “World Citizen“.

Featuring 10 tracks, Irie Souljah continues to elevate his music with the release of, “World Citizen”. The album follows up the “All About Love” EP from 2023, and presents messages of unity and love, and further strengthen bonds and cultures through the power of Reggae. Souljah encourages listeners to experience the new album like a movie, as he presents his everyday life and experiences, and how he views the world in present day. The album was released through Ineffable Records, features co-production with Genís Trani, and includes collaborations with Kabaka Pyramid, Medisun, Mystic Marley, and Alborosie. As Reggae Music continues to connect the dots, Irie Souljah does his part to bridge gaps, and open doors for new ideas, new collaborations, and new sounds, as a “World Citizen“.

In a time when people are experiencing hardships and difficulties, Skip wants the people come together and fight for a cause. He goes against those who wield the blade of corruption, who torment the people with oppression, and calls for us to fight back and claim what’s ours. “In Our Sight” is for the future leaders and fighters, the ones who know what’s right, and will endeavour to fix things. The new single samples Dennis Brown’s 1973 single “Westbound Train“, which was produced by Niney The Observer, which also sampled Al Green’s 1972 single, “Love And Happiness“. Victory is in our sights, it’s time to step up and revolt!

Today (August 1) is Emancipation Day. Today marks 191 years since the abolition of Slavery, and made way for more advancements of the Black Man. Today, we have the freedom to create and enjoy music that was made possible by the determination of our ancestors. Today may be the start of something new and refreshing, and today is the day Recording Artist Rik Jam releases his long-awaited debut album, “The Genesis“.

Featuring 14 tracks and released through Irie Yute Tapes, Rik Jam has finally made it to this major part of his career with his debut album, “The Genesis”. For well over a decade, he has been crafting music that showcases the power of a good message, utilizing sounds that have a firm grip of the listener. This album will give the new or seasoned listener an idea of all the work Rik has put in leading up, and make way for another level of the Artist. Production on “The Genesis” is handled by Phillip McFarlane and Nnamdi Robinson, and Rik shares his stage with Taye Louise, Medisun, Dalwayne, and Eric Rachmany. Today, we celebrate freedom, freedom to sing, to create, to enjoy, to live, and let “The Genesis” be a part of it all.
