Tommy Lee Sparta Joins Cyash For The “Rock It Up” Remix

Two worlds collide today, to make something that is needed on the scene. Recording Artist Cyash has been steadily making noise with his release of Dancehall Rock music over time, and it has been benefitting him ever since. It caught the attention of the King of “Dancehall Goth” himself, Tommy Lee Sparta. It was only right that these two collaborate, and today they share the remix for “Rock It Up“.

With a video done with Ink Drop Productions, Tommy Lee Sparta and Cyash bring out the Rockers, the Demons, and the Thugs out in the video for the Primetime Music-produced, “Rock It Up (Remix)“. You know the track record of the “Sparta Boss“, and the collab with Cyash may just open even more doors for Dancehall Rock releases, and opportunities to take them to different parts of the world. It’s the mix of two eras here, with Tommy Lee cosigning the young talent who have him as one of their inspirations. There have been discussions about Tommy Lee Sparta being the Father of many of the rising Dancehall acts, and you can hear his influence in the music. May this collab lead to more greatness, and darkness.

Mhmm, Vybz Kartel Brings An “Onslaught” With New Single

From sold out shows, to the wealth increasing. From Designer threads, to music streaming in the Millions, Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel has been gaining since touching freedom street. 2026 has  not seen him fall back, and we doubt that’s happening any time soon. All through the year, he’s bringing the “Onslaught“.

Released through Vybz Kartel Muzik and over Central Cee & JHus’ “Slaughter” Instrumental, the Vybz Kartel reflects on his wins, his milestones, and his continued elevation in the new single, “Onslaught”. For every “Mhmm” heard, he shares a win, and not many are at his level currently. The single comes after the announcement that Kartel will join Mavado at Reggae Sumfest 2026 for one night only for “Gaza vs Gully“. The announcement was needed as it was previously shared that the two will go on a “Gaza/Gully” tour starting in Malta, and it left Jamaicans upset as we all believed this tour should start at home. In some of our lifetime, we’ve witnessed the elevation of Vybz Kartel and Mavado, their feud, their reconciliation, and now their new partnership for a tour. In the meanwhile, look out for more onslaught delivered by the “World Boss“.

Grace Nelson "Namebrand" on 13thStreetPromotions.com #Jamaica #Reggae #Music #13thStreetPromotions #GraceNelson #Namebrand #1995 #TheLinxLabel #LinkUpManagementandProductions #InternationalWomensDay #WomensHistoryMonth #Riddim #Oldies #OldiesSunday #OldSchool #Caribbean

OLDIES SUNDAY: Grace Nelson – Namebrand (1995)

The Month of March is recognized as “Women’s History Month“, and today is celebrated as “International Women’s Day“. On “Oldies Sunday“, we highlight a number of Women who have made an impact, and significant contributions to music. We also highlight the Women who may not have been the biggest stars, but were well-loved and celebrated. Today, we reflect on the late Grace Nelson, and her track, “Namebrand“.

Produced by Jane Reid for Link Up Management & Productions and released through The Linx Label in 1995, Grace Nelson pushed through to make her voice be heard in, “Namebrand”. Stepping onto the scene with confidence and the power of Jah, Grace aims to show authenticity, raw talent, and a presence that no one can contest. She is the real deal, the top Soldier, and not a flash in the pan. “Namebrand” was a local favourite for the Singer, as her name became prominent in parts of Jamaica since starting out as a teenager performing at local events, being a part of the Clarendon-based Sonic Salvation Gospel Band, and she was steadily becoming known in parts of Europe thanks to her time in the UK, and touring with the Lynx Showcase, a group that recruited various Artists to perform. She was also affiliated with Irie Hi Fi, a German-based Record Label where she voiced a number of singles. The growing popularity of “Namebrand” along with previously-released singles provided her an opportunity to join Reggae Band Black Uhuru for their European tour.

Since the release of “Namebrand”, Grace Nelson would go on to release a few more singles. Grace was on her way to becoming a bigger name locally and Internationally, but tragedy struck in 1998 when she became the victim of murder. Her case found no leads, and to this day, is still unsolved. The St. Elizabeth-born Singer was seen as a star who was gone too soon, and a number of people still remember her and play her music, including “Namebrand”.

THANK YOU GRACE NELSON FOR THIS TRACK! SLEEP WELL.
