If you’re a follower of this platform, you’d know of Canada-based Recording Artist King Cruff. Since the late 2010s, he has been on the scene building his fanbase, and developing his sound. Blending Hip Hop with Dancehall, Reggae, Afrobeats, Pop, and a lil EDM, he has been winning over listeners with his selections, and silencing his doubters. Earlier this year, we released a Short Film on Cruff, and he revealed that he would be releasing a project this year. He came through on that word with the release of his debut EP, “What Have I ‘Don“.

Presenting 6 tracks, King Cruff takes center stage with his “What Have I ‘Don” EP. His skillset takes an upgrade as he shows that world that he is made for this. An exhibition of potent flows and sharp lyrics that tap into Afrobeats, Dancehall, Hip Hop, and Pop sounds, this representative of the Tuff Gong camp has what it takes to make music that will stand out. Released through Tuff Gong Collective/Universal Music Canada, Cruff recruited Banx & Ranx, !llmind, CircaEleven, OLivR, and Natural High Music for some heavy production while Skip Marley, Solo Yt, Jag.Huligin, and StoneBwoy join in on the fun. King Cruff is here to make an impact and do a lot for the culture, and like his Grandfather, dem a go tyad fi see him face.

Since the late 2010s, King Cruff has been putting in the work to get his name out there as a Recording Artist. Formerly known as Solyd Roy, he has tapped into Dancehall, Reggae, Afrobeats, Pop, and Hip Hop sounds to create music that you need to hear. He has found some success in the 2020s, and he has a lot more to do. With his name being a part of the Tuff Gong roster, the world will have no choice but to get familiar. To get you started, we have created a Short Film where you can get familiar with King Cruff. Along with the release of his latest single “LINGO” featuring Solo YT, “King Cruff: A Short Film” is a welcomed addition to your content consumption. Shot in Kingston at the Bob Marley Museum, we caught up with King Cruff ahead of his performance at the birthday celebration for the late Jo Mersa Marley at Reggaeland in Nine Miles, St. Ann. King Cruff Gets Into A “Blackberry Groove” On Latest Single!

Canada based Rapper King Cruff (f.k.a. Solyd Roy) has been keeping himself busy this year. While his output wasn’t heavy early on, he looks to make a statement with upcoming releases. One of the releases is the new single called, “Blackberry Groove“.

Produced by Teej a.k.a. Teej Made The Beat, King Cruff put together a track will surely light a fire in you to get moving. With a bass heavy production, this will rattle speakers, rooms, and your ear drums. When speaking about the creative process for the track, King Cruff shared, “I always find it interesting when a song has the overall vibe of being happy, but when you really pree the lyrics, there’s a touch of melancholy in there. That’s exactly how Blackberry Groove came about. When me and Smoothe locked into the studio session, I was feeling a bit disconnected from everything around me. So I tapped into that feeling, and wrote lyrics that would uplift myself, and anybody else who has that type of anxiety“. Accompanying the single is a music video directed by Lighter Juice that plays around with a lot of 3D work. Whether performing at the beach or running with the Lions, King Cruff brings new energy and vibes, and wants to get you into a “Blackberry Groove”! Be on the lookout for more from King Cruff!

If you’re like Recording Artists Collapsy and King Cruff and their new song however, you’ll always find “Sumn To Do“! With Production by Smoothe Music, Collapsy describes the song as one with “a super good vibe“! If you’re having a bit of a down time, Collapsy and King Cruff ensure that it will perk you up and have you stuck in a great mood all day. Canada Based Rapper Solyd Roy Is The “Cruff Daddy” On New Single.

Dropping a new tune today is Canada based Rapper, Solyd Roy! Titled “Cruff Daddy“, the Kingston born Rapper shows listeners what he can do over this head banging Production. While he brags a little on the track, he also showcases his ability to handle the beat and let you know that he’s someone to watch out for. “I feel like this song was just me reintroducing myself to the HipHop scene as best as possible. I obviously had fun writing and recording the track, but at the end of the day, I just wanted the song to paint the perfect image of who I am musically,” said the Rapper. As the Hip Hop movement continues to rise in Jamaica, many members have taken it across the seas and even influenced other emerging and established acts.
