The Drama Intensifies In Elephant Man’s “Eyelash” Video

Recently, Dancehall Artist Elephant Man released the single, “Eyelash“. Since then, the air in many households got tense, with arguments flying left and right. All is not well, and the drama continues with the music video for the single.

Directed by Rojhay Anderson and featuring Social Media personalities Deeman and Bad Sekki, Elephant Man is trying to set things straight while the drama unfolds in, “Eyelash”. While many Men believe in having multiple partners, when one partner decides that she wants a bigger role, things will be done to start fights, with the hopes of them becoming the main one, or the disrupter. The three Men experience their own situations in the clip, and may have struck a nerve with many viewers. Good to see the current batch of Social Media personalities showing up in content with Elephant Man, and we know there will be more of it in the future. Shukkle Buss says be careful out there.

Tromboclaat Is Under A Vibe With Debut Single, “Admit”

When that love hits you in the right way, sometimes you want to express those feelings through song. For Musician/Recording Artist Randy Fletcher a.k.a. Tromboclaat, he has the necessary tools to put together that song. Now we get to hear his debut single called, “Admit“.

Co-Produced with Glendon Clarke and released through Rednaz Records and StreetCode Ent., Tromboclaat got the love so good, he’s falling in love with her in, “Admit“. With relatable lyrics, listeners will quickly catch on to the new single, and with great production, this will be in regular rotation for many. As a Montego Bay-based Musician/Trombonist, he has worked with many of your favourite Artists, providing great sounds locally, and overseas. He is also a member of the collective Topp Brass, and you will be hearing more from him in the coming months. In the meantime, keep “Admit” running.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Dave And Ansell Collins – Double Barrel (1970)

For today’s “Oldies Sunday” selection, we feature a song that you have heard before, in a number of ways. Today, we go back in time to check out Dave And Ansell Collins’ “Double Barrel“.

Produced by Winston Riley and released through the Techniques Label in 1970, Dave And Ansell Collins delivers what could be called a theme song for British Spy James Bond in, “Double Barrel”. The track is mostly an Instrumental with Dave (Dave Barker) performing a series of ad-libs and chants. The aforementioned James Bond was an inspiration behind recording the track, and was done in one take. The production featured the first appearance on record of a young Drummer by the name of Sly Dunbar, who would go on to create History. “Double Barrel” was a hit for Dave and Ansell, and was the second Reggae song to top the UK Singles Chart. It also went to #1 in Mexico and The Netherlands, and sold 300,000 copies after only 33 Radio plays in the UK. “Double Barrel” was sampled numerous times over the years, and is one of the most sampled songs of all time, featured on releases from Kanye West, Special Ed, Slick Rick, MadLib, Biz Markie, Prince, The Alchemist, and even Fast Food giant Arby’s.

Since the release of “Double Barrel”, Dave And Ansell Collins went on to release more music together before parting ways after the release of their 1971 album also named, “Double Barrel” (3 more albums were released, 2 in the 70s and 1 in the 90s, but were just collections of previously-released music, and were not deemed official albums by the duo). They unsuccessfully made a comeback in the 80s, but fell back into solo work. Fun fact: Reggae Artist I-Wayne was raised by Ansell Collins, who was married to Wayne’s Aunt. “Double Barrel” remains Dave And Ansell Collins’ most successful release.

It took a lot to get Dancehall Artist Feloni19 to where he is now. With a large following and his streaming numbers growing, he’s working on maintaining his presence, and staying in tune with the streets. The life may be fast, but the spoils from the hustle are grand. Recently, he released, “Dreams And Nightmares“.

Produced by Krush Flo Records/ConniEntGroup on the “Map Riddim“, Feloni19 shares some of the happenings in his day to day life in, “Dreams And Nightmares”. The road he travels on is filled with goals to achieve and gold to secure, but trouble is present where he needs to be cautious on. In the end, he lives life like he’s on the run. The track is accompanied by a music video directed by Banka for Bankroller Visuals, and is expected to connect well with fans in the coming days. Fans are looking forward to a follow up to Feloni19’s “Rabbit Season” Mixtape, and he may just make that a reality before the year ends. Playing for keeps in this crazy life.
