Justice The Artiste Teams Up With @KingCruff On “Candlelight” Single

Artist on the rise Justice The Artiste stays putting in the work in his lair. Determined to make the world really listen to him, he has started his mission of dropping new music as often as possible until he gains mainstream success. With his “Call On Me” single making its rounds, he follows up with another one titled, “Candlelight“.

Produced by Fred Irie and featuring King Cruff, when it comes to getting close to that special lady, Justice The Artiste is trying to have her in the best way possible in, “Candlelight”. Whether he wants to wine and dine her, or be at the top of her priority list, Justice is putting his feelings in the melodies while Cruff is trying to be on the page with his lady interest who has some reservations. The production calls for candlelight dinners and relaxing moments by the sea at night, and the Artists knock out a solid collaboration here, and stay to the end of the included Annointed Productions-directed Visualizer for something extra. Keep this track busy out there.

Ai Milly Shares New Track, “Show Me”

Dancehall Artist Ai Milly continues to give the people his version of “Trap Soul“. With his “PGLT” project still doing its rounds, he finds the time to give the fans a few new recordings. This time around, he shares the track, “Show Me“.

Produced by Active Music on the “Eyes Closed Riddim“, Ai Milly deals with a number of things on, “Show Me”. He speaks on the scars he has received over the years, deals with relationships with Women who want to be free, opening up to people but getting hurt in return, pouring his pain into his vices, and just moving forward despite his troubles. Milly continues to tap into a lane where many can relate to and feel his lyrics, and that sampled vocals on the production add to the track in a way that you can’t help but keep it on repeat. Expect even more from the Deejay in the coming days, and keep “PGLT” on heavy rotation.

Dancehall Week Street Parade on 13thStreetPromotions.com #Jamaica #Dancehall #Music #13thStreetPromotions #DancehallWeek #StreetParade #JCF #JamaicaConstabularyForce #Caribbean

“Dancehall Week” Parade Met With Opposition From Police

via StreetCred Jamaica

The committee for Dancehall Week 2025 is extremely disappointed with how the Jamaica Constabulary Force treated the authorization and subsequent parade permit requested for the second annual Dancehall Street Parade in Kingston, Jamaica this past Sunday, March 2.

After months of planning and communication being circulated worldwide regarding the Dancehall Week street parade route, start time of 5:00 pm and an end time of 8:00 pm; last week’s consultation with a team of officers led by SSP Michael Bailey, from the Strategic Planning Division, cited laws in Jamaica prohibiting marches outside of 6am to 6pm. The police then insisted that the Dancehall Street Parade must take place within the stipulated hours or face prosecution.

WE brought a few things to their attention when they told us we had to change the time for our street parade after our entire advertising campaign had not only started but was in its final phase. One, we had consulted with the police to suggest the actual start time when we requested a night parade late last year. Secondly, we told them that a carnival event had held their road march after the 6am-6pm time period on numerous occasions, which SSP Bailey vehemently denied,Dave Goldson, CEO of Dancehall Week Limited shared.

According to Section 3(2) of the Public Order Act, no public procession or march shall take place on any public road or in any public place outside the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., except with the permission of the Commissioner of Police.

Conceding that the law does exist, the organizers of the Dancehall Week Street Parade are claiming classism as the reason their parade was bound by the existing law whilst Carnival events are exempt from the same law, this belief is even more fueled with the announcement of a Carnival Road March being promoted for April 25, 2025 starting at 3:00 am and confirming that the same event had a night march on April 6 of last year.

The Dancehall Street Parade, with trucks hosted by HITZ FM, SUN CITY RADIO, DOUBLE 7 ENERGY DRINK, CLEARSOUND, STR8 VYBZ and IRIE FM, was eventually staged, in a rushed manner, starting from Ranny Williams Entertainment Center, one hour before the advertised start of 5:00 pm and departing the Half Way Tree point at 6:00 pm, which was 90 minutes earlier than planned. This sudden change in time resulted in several persons arriving at 5:00 pm to miss the parade.

We are trying to make Dancehall run professionally and therefore had these conversations long before any public advertising had started. Ultimately this feels like sabotage of our own culture by the police who should be there to help support our own. We need answers from the highest level as our event for the last two years have been completely incident and violence free,” Dave added.

Willz Welcomes Some “Sweet Tender” Love Into His Life

There’s nothing like some good love, and receiving it is beautiful. For Hawaiian Reggae Artist Willz, the love is so good, he had to make a song about it. That song is his latest single called, “Sweet Tender“.

Produced by Irie Yute Tapes and released through Wash House Music Group, Willz is getting the kind of love that has a significant hold on him in, “Sweet Tender”. When it comes to that special someone, there’s nothing that will you from getting home at the end of the day to them. Willz delivers some great vocals throughout, and with a song like this, we hope to experience this kind of love forever. Tapping into classic Reggae sounds, you can’t help but reach for your partner, and dance the time away. Willz has been on the scene for a number of years, and aims to get the people in the right vibe with every release. It’s time for love.

Queen Paula "Me A The Teacher" on 13thStreetPromotions.com #Jamaica #Dancehall #Music #13thStreetPromotions #QueenPaula #MeATheTeacher #1988 #WomensHistoryMonth #MichaelHarrison #SteveKnight #Throwback #OldiesSunday #Oldies #OldSchool #WomensMonth #Caribbean

OLDIES SUNDAY: Queen Paula – Me A The Teacher (1988)

The Month of March is recognized as “Women’s History Month“, and we recognize a few great Women who made significant contributions to Music. Today’s selection on “Oldies Sunday” comes from Queen Paula with the track, “Me A The Teacher“.

Produced by Michael Harrison and Steve Knight and released through Ridim Force in 1988, Queen Paula leaves the Musical Teachers’ College to own the scene with a catchy flow and attention-grabbing lyrics in “Me A The Teacher”. The early years of Dancehall saw the rise of Female Deejays, and Queen Paula was a part of the flock that took over the scene, and showed the Men that the Women can run things as well. The track made the statement that Paula is a top tier Artist, and it’s not going to be a small feat if you wish to challenge her. “Me A The Teacher” was well-received by the listeners, and was added to the list of tunes that showcased Paula’s skillset.

Since the release of “Me A The Teacher”, Queen Paula continued to record and release music in the 90s, and parts of the 2000s and 2010s, and even made appearances at events and sessions in recent years. She engaged in a couple lyrical confrontations with fellow Female Deejays, but she has earned her place as one of the foundation Deejays, and inspired a number of Female Artists over the years. This Teacher runs things.

Thank You Queen Paula For This Track!
