Jamal Has Worked For His Moment, It Was Only A Matter Of “Time”

Dancehall Artist Jamal is not a newcomer, but one who has put in the work over the years in music. Know for his “Dunce” slang and movement, he has gained quite the following over the years, but thanks to a number of recent singles, his brand has been elevating. 2024 was one of his best years, but 2025 looks to be even better, and like his new video, it was only a matter of “Time“.

Directed by Shane Creative, Jamal is enjoying his level of success and fame while providing the necessary motivation in, “Time”. From connecting with his people in the community to being dressed for success in another scene, Jamal recognizes that his life has changed for the better, and shares that you can do it too, just do what is necessary to achieve it all. We also see a major highlight where he got to share the stage with Vybz Kartel at the recently-held “Freedom Street” Concert. “Time” was produced by Jamal Muzik/Monsta Milli/Dario MAGIX, and is another in Jamal’s catalogue that quickly became a hit. It is also featured in his latest EP, “Rated D For Dunce“. This for the true believers.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Gregory Isaacs – If I Don’t Have You (1981)

This Friday will be Valentine’s Day, and we know there will be many who will be in the loving mood, taking the time out to give their lover gifts, and take them out on dates. For the rest of the world, it’s just another Friday. We wanted to get ahead of the crowd with an “Oldies Sunday” selection that is nothing short of a classic. We go back to the 80s to tune in to “The Cool RulerGregory Isaacs’If I Don’t Have You“.

The self-produced “If I Don’t Have You” was released in 1981 through the Pre and Charisma labels, Gregory Isaacs delivered a song so relatable with “If I Don’t Have You”. When it comes to someone you have a deep admiration and love for, you’ll want to do everything to ensure it’s perfect. For Gregory, he believes she is that one Woman that checks all the lists, is his ideal match, and his forever love. If he messes it up, he has no desire to seek another. “If I Don’t Have You” was an instant hit for Gregory locally and Internationally, and listeners fell in love with his signature smooth delivery, and the lyrics definitely connected. The track was included in his 1981 album, “More Gregory“. The track was also referenced in Brooklyn Rapper Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def) in his 1999 single, “Ms. Fat Booty“. “If I Don’t Have You” is considered one of Gregory Isaacs’ most popular songs, and it ranks high among his extensive catalogue.

Since the release of “If I Don’t Have You”, Gregory Isaacs secured his place as one of the legends of Jamaican music, releasing many albums and singles over the years. His life was cut short in 2010, but his music continues to live on. Many of his love songs are played during the Valentine’s season, including “If I Don’t Have You”. Happy Valentine’s Day in advance.

.@DuttyPaul Speaks His Mind On “Nah Follow Dem”

Sean Paul has earned his place as one of Dancehall’s Kings. With his contributions, he has brought Platinum success to the culture since the 2000s with a string of hits and albums, and continues to take the culture to various parts of the world. In recent times, his name has been brought up in the “King of the Dancehall” conversation, and for some reason, the “Jacket“/Paternity Fraud controversy. Not one to be involved in mixup, Sean has a few choice words for the detractors in, “Nah Follow Dem“.

Released through his Dutty Rock Productions, Sean Paul claps back at those who doubt his place as Dancehall royalty, and those who want to involve him in paternity mixup with “Nah Follow Dem”. The Deejay steps out with some aggressive delivery and lyrics, and sends a message to the public that he’s all about success, and not things that will bring him and his family down. He’s not following the crowd, and will keep it that way. This weekend is a historic one for the Deejay as he makes his return to Brazil to deliver great music. It has been 18 years since he has performed there, and promises to make it a weekend to remember. While they’re gossiping, Sean Paul is globetrotting.

I-Octane x Shane O "Opportunist" on 13thStreetPromotions.com #Jamaica #Dancehall #Music #13thStreetPromotions #IOctane #ShaneO #Opportunist #MusicVideo #BlingBlang #NiNiRecords #ConquerTheGlobe #MusicVideo #Video #Caribbean

I-Octane & Shane O Put Themselves First In “Opportunist”

For close to 2 decades, Dancehall Artist I-Octane has delivered songs that tap into the everyday life of people. From songs to dance to, to songs that have you thinking about life, he has been one of the Artists on the frontline making a difference with some relatable music. Love him or hate him, his catalogue is extensive. Earlier, he shared the visual for the new single, “Opportunist“.

Directed by Bling Blang, “Opportunist” is I-Octane’s collaboration with Shane O, and together they talk about separating themselves from those who seek to drain their energy, distancing themselves from the users and abusers, putting themselves first, and ending the cycle. Those type of people had their run of doing damage, but today it stops. The video finds the Artists being caught up in a colorless place where people with negative energy are trying to hold them back, but they make their escape into the real world in the end. “Opportunist” was produced by NiNi Records/Conquer The Globe, and is out now. Round of applause.
