Since March 2025, we premiered a new weekly Playlist called, “What’s On 13th Street?“. Since then, we have featured over 1000 new songs from Artists in and outside the Caribbean. This week for “What’s On 13th Street?“, Nitty Zulu teamed up with Amerto and Nuru for “Bad Bitch”, Najeeriii dropped his sophomore album “SISU”, Original Koffee closed the Summer with “OVA SO”, Skeng is a “Man Of Prayer”, Dominica’s Litleboy links with Mr. Vegas for “Wap Wap”, UK’s JAE5 calls up J Hus and Skillibeng for “Take Nobody”, and more.

Litleboy & Mr. Vegas Team Up For “Wap Wap”

When it comes to Caribbean music, you’re either studying the lyrics, or dancing away. The influence Caribbean music has on the world is not to be taken lightly. From Dancehall, to Bouyon, to Shatta, the sounds are doing amazingly. This time around, two Island join forces for a new banger. Today, we check out Dominican Artist Litleboy, and Jamaica’s own Mr. Vegas in, “Wap Wap“.

Produced by Islanda Records, Litleboy and Mr. Vegas are ready for the ladies in, “Wap Wap”. Featuring a sample of the Dancehall classic “Hot Wuk” by Vegas, we get a track filled with commanding lyrics, high tempo and energy, and a vibe that will leave you sweating because you had so much fun. The track is accompanied by a music video that aims to make you want to get in on the fun. The mix of Dancehall, Bouyon, and Dennery Segment is bound to be on many Playlists, and could set up a play for Dominican Carnival 2027. Mr. Vegas is no stranger to regional collaborations, and he shows more diversity being an OG in music. Call the ladies, it’s time to get on bad.

The Bouyon wave is growing, and you better get onboard. Artists like Triszy, Rudy Ru$h, Khallion, and Reo are waving the flag for Dominica, and Redpunchdrip, Strosey, and Devon join for more domination. No subject is safe here, and they get controversial with, “Why Should I?“.

Produced by Xavvoknockin, the “gloves” are off for Redpunchdrip, Strosey, and Devon in, “Why Should I?”. When lovers get into that mood, sometimes the idea of starting a family take over, and whatever happens after the sessions, they believe it was all worth it. We’re guilty of feeling like that, because we can come across a person who has you all in your feelings, and have considering trading it all just to have an offspring or few. Putting that over a Bouyon beat is bound to cause a surge in pregnancies this year. The Artists party it up in a video directed by SkrtVisual, and they make it clear that it’s whatever with them, and if she’s down with the idea, then it’s all good. “Why Should I?” will start up a few conversations, and we’ll see how it goes months later. With the Bouyon movement growing thanks to the likes of TriSzy and Rudy Ru$h, “Di Bouyon Rockstar” Khallion and the “Prince Of Bouyon” Reo are adding with their music releases. With Bouyon, it’s always a party, and things get crazy in, “Di Rum Dat Do Me Dat“.

Directed by Obanga Muzik, Khallion and Reo find themselves at the Airbnb in the video for, “Di Rum Dat Do Me Dat”. When one is feeling the party vibes, and there are Women and Rum involved, it’s going to be a experience that either lives on in memory, and ends in the bathroom the following morning. Khallion and Reo get away with the liquor in this video with their lady friends, turning up at the house party, and causing the Owner of the property to come over and deal with the situation. The Island of Dominica is on a run this year with the release of a number of Bouyon singles. With more people tapped in, we even have Dancehall Artists joining in on a number of releases. For Recording Artist Rudy Ru$h, he’s contributing to the takeover for the upcoming year with the release of, “Anywhere We Go“.

Released through OffDaBloc Records, Rudy Ru$h sends a positive charge to the world with the release of, “Anywhere We Go”. Listeners will feel the energy throughout as Ru$h promotes unity, continued Caribbean musical dominance, freedom, and reminds us that the people are the vibe. Ru$h sets the stage for 2026 Carnival season, and once there are more energetic releases like “Anywhere We Go”, it will be a season for the books. Originated in the 1980s, the sound is a fusion of Zouk, Jing Ping, Cadence-Lypso, and other genres, and it has since fused with Soca called “Bouyon Soca“, and Dancehall called, “Bouyon-Muffin“. Recording Artist TriSzy looks to become the next Ambassador for the genre, and keeps things energetic with the new single, “Bouyon Mood“.
