Recently, Dancehall Artist Konshens dropped a new single titled, “Bad Man“. Off his latest “BadMan vs Nice Guy” project, he recruited the classic “Bookshelf Riddim” for the track and gave listeners a dose of the Konz’ sound. Released in 1998, this was produced by legendary Producer Tony “CD” Kelly and released through his K-Licious label. The Riddim featured the hits, “Bookshelf” by Beenie Man, “Deport Them” by Sean Paul, and was sampled by the likes of Ape Drums, Khalia, and Sneakbo.
We’re highlighting the “Bookshelf Riddim” in the latest Playlist in our #13thStreetThrowback series! It’s time to learn a thing or few. Check it out below, and share with a friend. Show us some love/follow us on Twitter and Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.
