They say life is the greatest thing, and it’s a blessing to live it in the best way possible. Overall, it’s all about living a life that’s greater than what it was the day, month, or year before. Dancehall Artist Kranium understands that motive, and speaks on living a “Higher Life“.

Produced by CJ The Chemist and featuring Dancehall Artist Chronic Law, Kranium focuses on a more elevated way of living on “Higher Life”. Instead of chasing what everyone else is chasing, one should be more appreciative of where they are now, and find ways to improve that situation. Both Artists reflect on what they’ve experienced earlier in life, appreciate the higher power that has been there for them, and are now enjoying what their hard work has provided for them. They both had the drive and determination to succeed, and are encouraging others to stay focused. .@NVT3L Takes On The “Honey Pot 2.0 Riddim” With “Let The Music Play”

Recently, German Sound System/Production collective Silly Walks Disco released the “Honey Pot 2.0 Riddim“. The Riddim is a revamped version of the classic “Honey Pot Riddim” that featured hits from Chronixx (“Smile Jamaica”), Ginja (“Sweet Killer”), Da’Ville (“One In A Million”), and many others. Inspired by the resurgence of the Dancehall Riddims “Go-Go Club” and “Street Vybz“, “Honey Pot 2.0” was introduced through a Social Media challenge where Artists would record their song on the Riddim, and the best ones would be selected. One of the Artists who was selected was Recording Artist Natel (now using the alias “NVT3L“), and did a number on the Riddim called, “Let The Music Play“.

When it comes to music, it’s always going to be an out of this world experience when the right song plays. NVT3L understands this completely, and shares his love for the music on “Let The Music Play”. To him, the music is a drug that one cannot overdose on, and should be distributed to every corner of the globe. With the “Honey Pot 2.0” injecting nostalgic vibes, we expect NVT3L’s entry to do some damage soon after its official release, and we can see him controlling the crowd with it at the live shows. Quan Dajai Henriques may be a new name on the scene for some, but his face has been on many screens worldwide. Having portrayed a young Bob Marley in the recently-released hit Biopic, “Bob Marley: One Love“, Quan has gained quite the attention, and has been making good use of it. With music in tow, he has been busy recording, and earlier this year released the single, “Brimstone“. He now follows up with, “Follow Your Heart“.

Produced by Bulby York, Quan Dajai shares messages of love in “Follow Your Heart”. Over retro styled Reggae production, Quan melodically delivers a song about a love that is real, loyal, and worth it all. A love that stays strong through the seasons and the challenges that life has in store, is rare, and should be cherished. Rojhay Anderson took on the directorial duties for the Music Video, and it highlights a special kind of love, a Man who believes in love, a Woman who gives and receives that love, and of course some great hair. Quan Dajai secured a place in Film, and looks to capture the world with his music.

Today is for the Mom, Mama, Mommy, Ma, Grandma, Auntie, and Mother. It’s Mother’s Day on “Oldies Sunday“, and we send a shout out to them all. Today’s selection comes from the late Calypsonian, Mighty Conqueror a.k.a. Conky with the track, “Sweet Mother“.

Arranged by Art De Couteau, “Sweet Mother” was released in 1978 through the Jumbo Caribbean Disco label. Conky’s track was a cover of Cameroonian/Nigerian Singer Prince Nico Mbarga’s mega popular track that was released in 1976. The song speaks of a person’s gratitude towards their Mother as she has been there for them in every stage of life. Even when she’s not physically present, a Mother and her love are not forgotten in the heart of her Child. Conky’s version of “Sweet Mother” was a popular track in the Caribbean, and was highlighted yearly in some Islands including his home of Trinidad & Tobago. Celebrate your Mom today, and every day of the year.
